Well Rea beat his team mate by six WC positions and 12 points in his rookie season and still got the sack so I won't be holding my breath. Mind you, this guy will doubtless be bringing asian millions with him so his performance may be viewed slightly more favourably

Will be another anominous year for Gresini in Moto2. Maybe they get some good money by hiring Pradita, so they can have a quality rider in 2014. On the other hand, Wilairot showed some flashes of speed in 250cc on a Honda and finished 4th at TT Assen in 2010. So if he can find a click with his 2013 bike, he might be an midpack runner.

If Gresini would stop pissing about with Showa forks they might have a bit more success. The only team running them so no one else to help develop.

Oh well, balls to Gresini, if he can't see the natural talent of Rea then they deserve to fail.

Money money money, must be funny, in a rich.....

Talent - a Nice To Have in addition to lots of cash, but clearly not essential. Unless GR had a Top 10 Championship finish (which would have been a big ask for his Rookie Season, new bike(s) etc etc) he would have been replaced with this or another sponsor flush geezer no matter what.

Say what you like about Gino, but as a sponsor you would have been liking the amount of TV coverage he had!

Money or not. Pradita has the right to compete in Moto2. Rea's position in championship is 21. Not a spectacular performance. He mostly finished outside 15 position. Signing Rea but losing money is a stupid decision. Asia's economy is growing very good now. While eruope's economy is in crisis.

For sure there are a lot of money coming from Asia to support motogp : Petronas (Rossi & JLO), Air Asia (Zulfahmi, Kent, Cortese). But those are real deal. If Federal Oil want to promote Indonesia riders please do so but someone who can be in top 10.
