After years of no Brit riders, Dorna is now spoilt with them across classes. Having Laverty will tick another box for Dorna by having a N Irish rider as well. They couldnt get Jonny Rea this year with him sensibly saying no way to CRT. So Laverty is the next bum on seat that woudl otherwise never get a look in for a real ride in the top class. He seems like a nice guy but cant help feeling that this is not a smart move for him :S The bike will be new, unproven, and he isnt even familiar with circuits or the brakes or the tyres. I would say good luck Micheal its going to be a long year, but given that Paul Bird will expect the impossible from the get go means it may not be as long a year as you signed up for...

Rewind 12 months, and the vast majority people on here were saying that Ellison was not good enough to go back into MotoGP. And now, lo and behold, people are saying that Laverty is not good enough, and that PBM should have retained Ellison.

FWIW, I think they should have retained Ellison. I rekon that Laverty is in the same sort of league as Ellison though, and with a decent pre-season testing he should do OK, depending on how this new untried bike works out.

Well isn't that amazing CRASH!!!. You allowed a comment made by N making derogatory remarks about Laverty then when i posted a perfectly acceptable condemnation of his post you pulled mine and his . I didn't swear no name calling so explain " WHY " .

EDIT by CRASH.NET! Because you repeated the offending remark, making your post out of context.
