How much does it cost to build an engine that let's say last 3 race weekends? is it cheaper than having 6 or 7 engines for the whole season?
This new rule isn't making the chance of having good races, because riders have to be careful and not take any extra risks with the possibility ruining an engine.
Why when I try to translate Carmelo Ezpeleta's name through Google is the outcome always Fail?

Constructors are going to bail out because it costs too much money to develop a bike and getting sponsors is more difficult compared to Rossi winning a race. Let's add underpowered lawnmower engines on roids bikes like the WCM Harris project who got suspended because their engine was production based. To join the field and ride 2 championships in one class which promised by Carmaletto EcclestoneLeta wont happen but have you seen the parc ferme after the race? The fastest CRT bike is in the parc ferme.
To make the championship healthy Carmelo should quit and let someone with a good set of mind throw in the rules or start reading Crash or other websites although there's a lot of crap on the internet I've read good points to make the championship more attractive. And it's not by ruling Suzuki out because they aren't competitive in that case Carmelo should say Ducati go away and all the CRT bikes go away, but heey 4 yamaha's and 4 honda's won't make a good championship but those are the o

Am I the only one who things that Carmelo is losing it?
Did Carmelo actually done anything good to the championship?
500cc 2 stroke bikes need to be replaced because of the eco friendliness of the 1000cc 4 strokes. Oohw oops they're going too fast let's remove 200 cc of the engine, oohw oops cornerspeed is too high and the races are boring let's bring back the 1000cc engines because Rossi won Oz in '03 whilst he got a 10 second penalty that's what people are paying for.

re: "it always comes back to the fact that Factories are actually wrecking racing"

my math says different. it's the fan-sumers that are wrecking both racing AND it's underlying motorcycle industry. you have to let go of your hate. stoner only told us as much.

I hope Nicky is the guy they choose to pilot their bike. I just purchased my first Suzuki after a 40 year love fest with Honda and I love the thing. Perfect time to match up my favorite rider with my new favorite cycle company.

While this is great news, if there is a team I would love to see back on the grid its Kawasaki as their bike was so underrated despite having such a good machine.

Lets see how hard is it going to be for a factory to come back in when they have all the new rules on limited engine, fuel, and constant rule changing. i doubt we will see much in they way of them returning.

To fill the grid again, why can't the factories go back to the previous situation of having 'customer' bikes for sale/lease to teams. There was a time when we had factory and customer TZ's, factory and customer RG's and, factory and customer NS's. The customer version would to be, as they were, reasonably competitive against the factory bikes. I think motorcycle racing fans like to see the factories racing against each other, not a bunch of built-up specials, even if neither really have any direct relationship to what we ride on the street.
