MotoGP » Rossi: Stoner 'started to hate me' after Laguna 2008

“Stoner started to hate me just because he lost. After that, he always seemed to talk about the past, this race [Laguna], because he wasn't man enough to understand that at that time, he lost!” – Valentino Rossi.

Rossi is just dirty that Stoner won a world chasmionship on the Italian Ducati and he couldn't.....

He couldnt win a race on it,let alone a championship!
Cant wait to see Lorenzo cream him on the Yamaha AGAIN next year!

"Lorenzo broke me down. After that, they (the Rossi fans) always seemed to talk about the past, that race (Motegi and all the other championships that I won), because they aren't men enough to understand that at that time, I lost!”

There, fixed.

Why I loved Marco Sim, he battled with people rough and proper and they all whined on but a few of them like Rossi. Lorenzo and Stoner always whine on too much and cry like a girl when the racing becomes really close.

Wish Marco didn't die, he would have been so fun to watch unlike the boring riders we have now. Only Rossi is fun to watch, all the races against Lorenzo and Stoner when he was at Yamaha were so exciting because of him. I don't get the same excitement with the others because they're just so boring on track.

Wait one second ! Rossi thinks there was a time when any other rider in the paddock liked Stoner?
oooucchhh.... Stoner is an unhappy man, even he has not any race in V8 he has already made his enemies. :)

Rossi has always shown just a bit too much of the win at all costs attitude - and he's so good at wrapping it up saying everyone else takes it too seriously - Don't think so Vale.
Casey was way too good to cave in like Sete did. And Rossi proved how good Casey is by going to Ducati - can you imagine how much effort and money they've put in to get that bike to perform for Rossi.
Casey Stoner, a good guy with a good heart.......and on his day, completely untouchable on a MotoGP bike. Vale, you're great, but you're no Casey Stoner.

Actually....if you read interviews with Lorenzo and Pedrosa, they got along with Stoner and there has been a mutual healthy rivalry and respect since their days in the smaller classes.

We already know who lorenzo, Agostini, Schwanz and a host of others think is the more talented rider, Stoner. I think Rossi is a great rider and champion, but those guys know more than any of us.

I think the pass at the 'ring in 2010, the 'ambition outweights talent' comment and Rossi's utter failure to win on the Ducati while Stoner moved on with Honda have reduced Rossi to a fading figure in Stoner's rear view mirror.

When Stoner makes a comment about him now its responding to somthing Rossi has said or an issue. He's over it adn the only peopel who still care are the folk hoping against hope that Rossi wil be up there next year.

If Valentino loves racing so much why does he need to comment on a guy who isn't there anymore?

Retiring when you're on top. Vale, youre doing it wrong.

and he has remained true to his teachings in being consistently awful with ducati, wosi. Actually he hasn't been consistently getting podiums there so maybe not. looks like the student has become the master in the case of lorenzo and rossi, 2013 will confirm it.
