MotoGP » Rossi: Stoner 'started to hate me' after Laguna 2008

“Stoner started to hate me just because he lost. After that, he always seemed to talk about the past, this race [Laguna], because he wasn't man enough to understand that at that time, he lost!” – Valentino Rossi.

This is so very amusing.
Stoner got comprehensively beaten during that race and then went on to melt somewhat worse than the ice caps are currently doing!
This seemed to be a trait that he perfected and made his own the season before.
Yet when he quite sportingly punched DePuniet or laughingly cut across Haydens bows it's all fine and dandy.
deary deary me.

it took 2 win less years on a crap bike for rossi to be bettered. Something about one hand behind your back comes to mind here...Dave.

I think you will find that that crap bike you talk about was the bike that Rossi "developed"!

Stoner was also on the Ducati. For 4 years.Didnt stop him winning on it though did it mate?
Myth busted.

Neither of them liked the fairing bashing racing, that the fans all love...Skooter.

I will remind you of that comment Skooter when all the Rossi fans start pissing on Marquez for doing just that!

Agree it sounds like sour grapes because VR did nothing with the Duc after a couple of years and lots of support.

As for Laguna VR pulls out too aggressive moves IMO when he wants to win. Endangering Lorenzo's World Championship in Japan was one I thought so ridiculous and just like Rossi. Yes, I'd like Marques to do similar to Rossi. But I see he's already getting his excuses lined up.

Ok what is all this crap about Rossi not having any rider as a friend in the paddock???ummm remember Marco?who was like his best pal???And what about Edwards?they were very close back when they were teammates at Yam and they are still close ,Colin has said a lot of good things about Vale and they show that he considers him a friend...Also Vale was friends with Sete before competition rose too high...

As good as Rossi is, when things didn't go his way he always seemed to come across as a petulant child not getting his own way. Throwing up walls telling his teamate to figure it out himself. Demanding Yamaha choose between him or Lorenzo. Demanding HRC give him the best bike and not his fellow Honda riders. Demands Bridgestone from Uncle Carmelo. Cries to the press when Ducati isn't doing enough in his mind.

See how that works Skooter?

"Valentino's feeling brave because I'm not there" -'re the one who's left and is not there. Don't really understand his attitude of saying he hates all the banter between him and Vale, but he's the one who kicks up 50% of the sh1t and then claims to be above it all.

At least Valentino admits he's a wind up merchant. Casey's a bit sneakier when it comes to this dung throwing.

I respect him and all as a rider, but he gets a lot of undue credit for "speaking his mind" as he's actually very 2 faced and a bit of a b1tch

As good as stoner is, when things didn't go his way he always seemed to come across as a petulant child not getting his own way. Which was a shame because he is a great rider and didn't need to behave like that. Lorenzo is similar as well. Neither of them liked the fairing bashing racing, that the fans all love. Of course Rossi also understands that rattling his opponents is very useful.
