MotoGP » Rossi: Stoner 'started to hate me' after Laguna 2008

“Stoner started to hate me just because he lost. After that, he always seemed to talk about the past, this race [Laguna], because he wasn't man enough to understand that at that time, he lost!” – Valentino Rossi.

Some might say the move was illegal, some that it's not Ok to do it because you risk falling and taking the other guy with you and other crap, but when I saw the corkscrew with my own eyes I could only think that who ever saw that move right from near the fence, saw something unique. To do that move you need to have xxxl balls and I can't think only off 3 riders from this generation that could do it: Rossi, Sic (RIP) and Marquez. No Lorenzo, no Pedros and especially not Stoner. And this is why stoner literally hates Rossi : his dic is much, much smaller than Rossi's. That's the only problem Stoner has with Rossi, dic size. And boy is he frustrated, I mean I don't see him talking anything else but Rossi. One thing is clear, Rossi is #1, but you can't put stoner in top 5.

Maybe not the championship Harry, but i would bet my last penny he would have won races on it.
After all,he won on every other version of the Ducati that was handed to him.

Well, nice to see you do agree that Stoner would not have been able to win the championship on the duc.

Regarding Rossi, I think he's just to mature and sensible to have a win or bin it attitude. Stoner never finished a season on a duc without binning it...even though he is an awesome each his own.

But Danni was not unhurt, and on many occasion not faster, he crashed because he could not keep up and push to hard like PI 2012.
Can ride around any problem?...not the 2012 He can ride around more problems than most of them True! Rossi cant and do not want to Exposed. Without the Honda Yamaha Money and Engineers he is toast! Because he can't do what we thought he could:)True Super Exposed

Fastest GP rider?...doesnt hold ALL track records in either race or Who does?? Remember Fastest is who get first to the finish line not a one lap wonder!!

Only man to win on ducati?...Baylis 2006 & Caparossi 2003 & 2007 would In comparison to these and Rossi how many did Stoner have and how many did they have!

Better than rossi?...4 of 7 years finished behind Rossi in the standings & his 2 WC were NOT back to back like 1 year on slow satellite bike!! Most years on a unrideable"(acc to Rossi) bike. Where did Rossi end

Even Stoner knew that he'd never win another championship on the duc when he quit for Honda.

An unhurt Dany (on the fastest bike of the end of 2010 with which Stoner won 2011 easy) is likely to be faster than a Stoner on a duc anytime. It is likely that Stoner would have earned less points e.g. "dropped".

...Happy Newyear!

"Strange that the facts always seem cause so much annoyment to some" You assume Stoner would be further down in if Danni not hurt "facts"? Would be further down, fact??. Speed diff 2007 only lasted a 4-6 races then they where about the same, although corner speed is a big factor in top speed:). 2011-12 Ducati top speed best so that is not the advantage. Stoner is a serious rider and always push himself to the limit no matter what, Rossi is there to make money and have fun therefor the results never came on the Duce. And in my opinion being 2nd and 4th is pretty good on the Ducati considering what everyone else did on it:) And if 2007 was the perfect year for Ducati how come they did not end up 1st & 2nd in the Championship, who won most races in 800cc era?? Who got most fastest laps?? who got most poles?? And even when Ducati made the it in to a Yamaha Rossi did not perfor, and because he is not there to take risks, which make me believe that on th Yamaha he will be average

Whatever. Stoner was good on the duc but never forget the enormous straight speed advantage in 2007 and the perfect bridgestone-ducati match for that year. When Rossi switched to Bridgestone in 2008 and the other manufactures reacted to the Ducati engine advantage Stoner dropped to 2nd and then to 4th in 2009 and 2010 having to retire a few times more in 2010 due to overriding the ducati. He would have dropped further had dany not been hurt. He's good and fun to watch...but let's keep the truth in the middle...He barely would have made it in the Top 5 for 2011 or 2012 on a duc...and he knows that...the angry little boy
