MotoGP » Rossi: Stoner 'started to hate me' after Laguna 2008

“Stoner started to hate me just because he lost. After that, he always seemed to talk about the past, this race [Laguna], because he wasn't man enough to understand that at that time, he lost!” – Valentino Rossi.

@LA

Rossi went to Ducati for the challenge?!? Did he f*ck. He went because he could no longer get his own way at Yamaha and took a big fat pay cheque to ease the pain of knowing he was going to get his ass handed to him every weekend by younger (and now better) riders. FACT.

@SLB415
where did you get your fact? that is your own fact.

all i hear before he jump to duc is because he want a new challenge just like what he did when he leave honda.

believing in your self proclaim fact is ok but pushing it to others to believe you is crazy.

Agree with an earlier post, while stoner was racing this kind of vr post would've been aimed to get under his skin. Not sure why he's doing it now, and after 2 years of being the number 8 rider on the grid not sure he's justified in saying anything.
Not to mention, that comment "your ambition outwayed your talent" was what Rossi said to Stoner in his rookie year when stoner crashed from the lead, stoner finally got a chance to throw it back in his teeth.
Of all the comments stoner made (and lots of them were childish and out of place) that's not one Rossi should've raised again.
Losing respect fast and I used to be a big fan. Bad mouthing a former opponent whom
No longer has the podium from which to respond.
He'd better bring it big time this year, as it is he'll struggle to win back respect.

Roll on the v8 supercars . Witnessed the race and the fans are totally behind the scene as a whole, none of this bitching about other drivers crap.
Glad casey had the bottle to leave the circus because vr certainly hasn't .

I am glad to see Stoner gone...you can only take so much of his whining...just like Kenny Roberts and roberts Jr....big whiners. Time to insert the baby bottle.

Well bad memories are lost very fast in Italy.

after 2 years of being the number 8 rider on the grid not sure he's justified in saying anything.

I'm sure stoner fans can appreciate rossis "tell it how it is" comments. And of course rossi is right. Stoner never got over the humiliation, he carried laguna around with him all his career.
