MotoGP » Rossi: Stoner 'started to hate me' after Laguna 2008

“Stoner started to hate me just because he lost. After that, he always seemed to talk about the past, this race [Laguna], because he wasn't man enough to understand that at that time, he lost!” – Valentino Rossi.

"Stoner started to hate me just because he lost. After that, he always seemed to talk about the past, this race (Laguna)" - Valentino Rossi.

The funny thing is, I haven't heard Stoner talk about it at all! Heard Rossi mention it heaps, though.

Rossi's still hurting from getting his butt handed to him.

There are not many top class riders that do like Rossi.Rossi is not very good at making or keeping friends just look at his past rivals and colleagues. In fact I don't know any rider alive that likes Rossi. He also has acted like a child as most of these highly strung riders do. Rossi loves a headline and will say any thing to get attention espesially now that he has not won a race in two years. If you crash into another riders bike you are out of control, there is no ifs or butts if you can not give that rider the space they need to race you are not in control of your bike. I'm sure if the race went the other way Rossi would be acting the same way as Stoner. Stoner also took full responsibility for crashing

I agree beaten to a pulp, while Rossi claims Stoner is not man enough to let the Laguna Seca loss go, it seems to be only Rossi that continues to throw it out there for the reason behind Stoner thinking he is a knob jockey. More so now after the debacle of his 2 fruitless years at Ducati, which ironically has once and for all also put to bed that it was just as much Stoner's ability that was the key to Ducati's success from 2007 to 2010.

I also have never heard Stoner carry on about Laguna Seca after that weekend. Maybe it is time for Rossi and his flock of believers to let go of Laguna Seca 08 and worry about 2013.

Stoner hated the world, and probably still does!
Good riddance Moto gp is better without him!
If anyone had the bike under them to live with him the dummy left the pram so fast it broke the sound barrier, bizarrely the only guy he seemed to identify with was Jorge.
Perhaps it was because Lorenzo is the only guy to beat Rossi on equal machinery.
The only thing I would haves liked to have seen with stoner would have been him and vale on the ballistic Honda, both of them!
Over the course of a season I think, despite the age difference vale would have made stoner look sillier than he made himself look at times!

@same ol' blah, blah, blah

you never heard anything from stoner cause no one wants to ask him. he only talk and ask by the media when he won and press conference before and after the race.

Rossi is different.

do you think he will say all these with no one asking him?

Hahaha..all the #27ers have got the hump because Rossi opens his mouth and slags Casey?

Well who's been winding it into Rossi making the contradictory bitchy comments for two years?

LS08 was the start of the end for Stoner but, it was what happened the following two races with him crashing out of the lead, trying to scamper away from a stalking Rossi, that REALLY lit the fuse of self destruction.

It blew his title hopes to smitherines and rightly, Casey Stoner was labelled a choker.

He got beat this year by a team mate who's won nothing at this level, confirming it never went away too..

Rossi - the goat UNTIL stoner arrived. (look at the # of wins of each rider since 06) Stoner - unarguably the goat on a ducati, his title will never change and my prediction is he will forever remain their most successful rider.

wosi, you must have forgotten how rossi got beat by his team mate in 2010. rossi and stoner each had injuries in those years and both finished 3rd. either way lorenzo and pedrosa got the better of both of them and they surely will be beating rossi this year, rossi can't match the consistency of lorenzo.
