Only low because of all the sad Rossi fans who didnt enjoy it because their idol was rubbish.

Next year when he starts winning again, it will be a 10!

@Gaz that was a pointless comment!

Half the entertainment this season was watching a multiple world champ mix it with the mid pack with some great battles with Barbera, Hayden and Bautista etc..hopefully he gels with the Yamaha next season to challenge the Front pack.

I have a feeling Marquez will be immediately competative and as said in an earlier post if Cal can tame his reliability he can also be a podium challenger.

So in an ideal world we should have Lorenzo, Rossi, Pedrosa, Marquez and Crutchlow all challenging at the front next season, an exciting mid pack with half privateer and half top running CRT's and the back of the field with the remaining CRT's (which both need more TV coverage)

Probs won't happen tho ha!

Nothing has changed. We will still see the same processional races next year even though some riders are on different machinery. The works Hondas and Yams will gap the satellite bikes. The Dukes will still struggle and the top CRTs will sometimes be snapping at their tailpipes.

There was some good racing in the midfield, they hardly ever showed it and that was the main problem. In F1 when it stretches out at the front they focus on other battles further down the field, they should do the same in GP.
Don't get me wrong, i'd love 4,5,6 or more to be battling at the front but we seem to have this illusion that it always used to be close racing in the past and it wasn't.
There is a certain truth that some don't remember the boring races in the past where Vale pee-d off into the distance as that is their only focus. And no intent to bait anyone with that comment, i am a Vale fan myself. I've been posting on here a good few years and i don't remember all these "boring" comments when he was kicking everyones butt

Oh and love him or hate him, losing Casey is a big loss to the sport. Losing an alien is bad news, would have been nice to add a few more to that list rather than lose one and then potentially gain one in terms of Marquez...
I will also miss the super slo-mo's off Casey sliding that Honda around Philip Island amongst others...even the biggest hater has to appreciate that...surely?

Why not have 2 10 lap dashes rather than long races - at least that way the tailenders get to catch up.

One point missed is that when the glory days were here you could buy an ex works bike and race it the next year and be quite competitive, leasing of bikes is what has killed the class

I'm a big Rossi fan and I think his "return" will definitely contribute to getting these numbers back up, but Marquez is the one who'll add some of the best fireworks I think.

Dani has found a new level and JL is obviously a class act. Cal will not be afraid to get his elbows out either!!
