You would have to perform well and be liked to get votes, probably a little surprising Jorge didnt figuire higher likewise surprising Valentino did so well, guess he is still very popular as he never really achieved much on the Ducati at any of the races even getting soundly beaten by riders in the second tier series on occasions. Certainly Casey and Dani put a lot of effort in so well deserved.

Agree with most here that Dani deserves Rider of Year eventhough Lorenzo won the championship. In terms of rider of the day who really cares.

a lot of anti-rossi here..

dont you all get it? it's a rider of the day in every race. not best rider in a season.

i admit he sucked in 2 years with ducati but give a credit for what he was did in some races. he didn't get his 2nd place in lemans with luck, he worked for it.

lorenzo did't get much of vote cause we all know how smooth he is when riding a bike, not surprising that's why no vote.

You obviously didnt watch the British GP from Silverstone where an injured Crutchlow finished 6th,ahead of both works Ducatis after starting dead last on the grid.A stunning performance in anyones eyes.

Most people don't seem to understand, this isn't rider of the season, it's rider of the day. How a rider peformed over the season doesn't come into the equation, it's who put in the best performance in each individual race.

@DB8

If it had been any other Ducati rider finishing second at San Marino. I guarantee you would have given them rider of the day. Rossi's failure to live up to the overall expectations at Ducati mean people overlook some his his sublime performances on it even though there weren't many.
