tonyed, read it.
All engines will be supplied through Dorna and they will be picked RANDOMLY, so if a manufacturer does make a special engine they have no idea who will get it. Bit like buying a tv from Curry's.
Ioda won't be in Moto3 but Suter are making an engine for Mahindra with 2 riders and yes they will be given to Dorna so neither of their riders can be favoured.
NO ENGINES will be given back to Dorna, they will either be maintained or sold. They have NOT decided on the number of the engines for each rider (last year 8) nor the maintenance, which probably again you will buy the parts through Dorna. Which then will be returned for sealing only not a present for Dorna
If you want to buy a Honda engine then 2 weeks later a KTM nothing to stop you like now, you just need a new chassis. As all the prices are fixed Dorna will not be making any money out of it as I am sure the crash faithful will claim.
Its not rocket science and it is quite clearly written.

The whole point is to stop teams like AJO getting better engines than other KTM customers and Estrella getting better engines than other Honda customers.
This series structure is based on purely customer engines no works specials.

Carbon Composite wheels are not permitted.
Probably have the most impact on rider setup and rider feel... an will slow them down for certain...

and limiting the amount i.e. cost of suspension and swingarms doesn't make since... considering manufactures don't control the coast of RnD or price materials used... so to make it more affordable lets use pot-metal and pay monkeys to test it lmao...

as I said before "if it ain't broke... don't fix it"...

Way too much of this left hanging in the air....'to be decided later', to be confirmed at the first race in Qatar' the hell can a team plan a seasons racing let alone two when so much is in flux?
What GP's desperately needs is a period of stability but Dorna seem totally incapable of providing that....too much thrashing about continually changing/modifying rules/specifications is doing more harm than good.
No doubt they'll start the same process in WSB soon and cause similar chaos there as well......

To be decided by Qatar gives them a whole year to plan the next seasons racing. Do you think a team needs more time?
As for capping of brakes and suspension, this makes perfect sense, these are all third party products and stops the team with the most money getting the best equipment. If the brake manufacturer wants to give a certain team something special for the same cost well that is their problem and will lose money.
The sooner similar measures are put in place in WSB the sooner we will get back to full 36 grids instead of the 15 you have at the moment.
It seems again the only people who do not think these measures are good are irational forum posters.

What like WSB has had stability since the 1200 rule and things have gone down hill since and not provided a full grid. WSB have failed to adapt to the times and crowds have shrunk to almost nothing.
All the changes are in the way of saving money, like capping on prices is done by assuring more customers, like the case of Magnetti Marelli by buying in bulk.
Do you think there are any companies in this world that are operating in exactly the same way as 5 years ago? No every company is about being more econimical and more efficient, YEAR on YEAR in an ever changing world.

what a terrible idea.

this will add one of the more disgusting aspects of F1 into MotoGP, which is races decided in conference rooms days after the race is over.

i'm a super positive person but i only see dark days ahead for MotoGP and now WSBK.
