Alvaro is the MotoGP class version of Timo Glock --- an underrated, yet talented racer who is stuck with a more inferior machine. Put him on a high quality factory(not the factory Rizla GSV-R) and you can bet he'll be a championship material.

Overall like Cruthlow, he definitely proved that satellites can be very competitive. He'res hoping we see more podiums from him on 2013 and perhaps as shot at a quality factory bike in the future.

I thought Alvaro was on a pretty much factory spec Honda, which had been destined for Marco?

The problem I thought with Alvaro this year is that he didn't seem much better on the Honda than the Suzuki, where he was starting to impress. Having said that, he finished the year pretty well although no better than Stefan Bradl who was definately on a bog stock satellite bike

One does hope that one rossi did not get into the top 10 as his performance did not warrant it, unless of course his blinkered fans all voted for him.

And why exactly doesn't Rossi deserve top 10? He beat Crutchlow on Yamaha that's had podiums all year. Rossi did good with the Ducati (relatively speaking) but no one will say so because they expect Rossi to be 1st the whole time. Understandable given he's the GOAT.

Some good, steady performances from Bautista this season.Twice on the podium and even taking a poll position on a satellite bike is impressive.I thought he may have come higher than 8th in this poll.Hope he continues to improve next season.
