Codger

Just to tell that you have some problems on your analysis because the most successful Team of Yamaha was when they sign Jorge Lorenzo and Rossi was number 1 on the Team, they made record of points for Yamaha and continued like that on the next years but for that worck you need to have 2 riders that know what they are doing, Rossi and Lorenzo know very well each other they rode the same bike and have smillar style on track playing smooth and fast thats why we have races like Catalunha 2009 and Motegi 2010.. I wach many Battles but in Motogp catalunha 2009 was just the TOP but for 2013 will be Fun again

"Honda have a problem. This season they gifted the Title to Yamaha because their two riders took points off of each other"
- Honda does not have any problems, they won the Manufacturer Championship in 2012 by almost 30 points. And Lorenzo won the Rider's Championship by consistency, determination and some luck.

Crystal Clear, Dani Pedrosa outwon Jorge Lorenzo 7 vs 5 wins. The reason Dani lost is that Lorenzo had a guardian angel that gave him no less than 2nd place except when taken down by Bautista, while Dani had four 3rd places. They were even on falls.

Why on earth do people keep going on about it? The rider with the most points wins the title, end of. It's quite simple really, like most of the peeps on here.

WOW, did you make this up yourself or did your mum help you?
quote 2012 is not comparable due to the change in displacement but then you go and use them."

I'll give you that one. Type faster than I thought. Thought 2011 typed 2012. Those are the numbers for 2011 for Rossi.

Just a question no irony no nothing. How can a rider be the best of all time and the only championships that he won was in the 800cc??? No 125cc title no 250cc no 990cc nothing. Won 2 titles in a time where electronics rule the motorbike more than ever. The only amazing thing is that he had success where no other has had, Ducati. But there so Rossi had success in 125cc 250cc 500cc 990cc and 800cc. The only machine he could not win was Ducati. So I really dont understand the best rider of all time is Stoner, can anyone give me a good answer to that?

Imho,
With respect to number of titles won, Agostini is the GOAT
With respect to number of classes Rossi has won in, he's the GOAT
With respect to how a duc should be tamed and ridden, Stoner is the GOAT.
PS: my personal opinion

@Luis Neto
when you have the BEST of EVERYTHING and even have personally made items flown in over night and the rest of the field is ALWAYS playing catch you then you SHOULD win.

Fast forward to today the the field has slowly caught up in terms of ability and equipment.

If your ROSSI is truly the GOAT as you claim him to be, then he would have WON in the last 3 (not 2) years.

Rossi is a great rider but NO he is not and never will be the GOAT to real fans of the sport but to the Rossi panty boyz he is their lover when they are alone in their bed playing with their best friend

No one claims Stoner to be the GOAT, no one ever has (except LC Tanner) what has been claimed and proven is he is ONE of the BEST that we have every seen, hence why he has been confirmed as one of the Legends of the sport.
