Ivor Bueb, with all due respect trying to compare their early careers in lower classes means very little, unless they were racving together, which they werent, so its pretty much irrelevant.

Its like when Rossi fans try and say that Rossi is better than Stoner because he did better in the early years before they raced together. Its poinltess, and doesnt show anything when comparing how they will fair in the premier class.

In fact the Rossi/Stoner example is a primne example. Rossi did much better than stoner in the lower classes, but once they started racing together, Stoner came out on top as the clear winner.

I think Marquez will do very well, but i think he will have an up and down rookie year, and cause a few waves and controversy along the way. But lets face it, thats what moto gp needs to liven things up a bit.

So far if you look at Dani's career compared to Marquez, Dani has beaten him hands down. They have had very similar careers before moving up to the GP class. They both had very good support in the lower classes but Dani cleaned the boards, whereas Marquez though impressive has not done quite so well. Check their respective results and competition if you doubt.

No idea how Marquez will fair this year in GPs, he may be a new sensation but there are a few question marks over his racecraft as yet IMO.

@ SLB415...Well said.
Marquez has yet to adapt to the big bikes yet, could be the following year that he trounces everyone. If he does it in his rookie year then he'll be the new Stoner/Rossi/Lorenzo.
personally I think Dani might just do it. If he doesn't he'll be the new Edwards/Hayden, clinging on as long as possible.
