Here are some interesting snippets of information.

Rossi on debut (2000 on a 500cc 2-stroke Honda) - 2nd in championship ahead of the likes of Max Biaggi, Alex Barros, Gary McCoy, Carlos Checa, Loris Capirossi, Alex Creville (the reigning WC finished 9th that year).
With 10 Podiums (2 Wins) and 3 DNF's
Stoner on debut (2006 on a 990 4-stroke Honda) - 8th in the championship ahead of the likes of Toni Elias, John Hopkins, Chris Vermeulen.
With 1 Podium (no wins) and 6 DNF's...he was pretty wild that year!
2006 was the year that Rossi lost the championship to Hayden...which would've happened sooner had Pedrosa not taken his team mate out the previous round.
The next year Stoner went to Ducati and the rest is history...by stat dude.
you left a snippet out bro , stoner was on a new underfunded lcr satellite , the others got full factory bikes or in vales case full factory support.

@ dacron

Yeah f-ing right, get real dude. Stoners supported RSV Honda was sorted as was every RSV Honda at that point. All those RSV's kicked ass, Stoner was just over-riding his a bit.
Rossi's supported NSR Honda of 2000 was also quite sorted as the other NSR's of the day.

Stoner has never been that consistent, proven in fact by his squandering of last years championship even though he had the best bike out there. Again over-riding the bike on more than one occasion.

@ridelikeaturtle
I don't think Jorge is putting anymore pressure on him that isn't already there. I mean mm winning a race or two is already expected hell the hrc boss has already made this claim.

Hells Bells people are a little sensitive on this site!! I was not being biased, pro Rossi or anything like that! I just posted the debut stats of Rossi, Stoner and Jorge. Stats are stats, they don't change because of ones preferences.
IMO, Lorenzo will probably take the Championship again, he is that good and consistent, with very tight competition from Rossi & Pedrosa. Marquez being the new wild young stallion in the paddock will need to settle down before he can be a contender
