lolz @Rooster and manup, please, Nakasuga finished almost 40 seconds behind the winner, that race was a complete farce, only two or three riders had the right setup to battle for the first place. Nakasuga has 3 races under his belt and hes the test rider who rides just like Jorge, its not any surprise he finished almost 40 seconds behind Dani.

Ben Spies Satellite Yamaha (1st ride) 2009, finishes 37 seconds behind 1st.

Josh Hayes Satellite Yamaha 2011, Valencia, in drier conditions finishes 33 seconds behind 1st.

Nakasuga Factory Test rider, Valencia 2012, finishes 37 seconds behind 1st.

Gotta give props to Josh Hayes, then Ben Spies, then Nakasuga.

People pretending Nakasuga made Spies bike look good are smoking crack, that guy has a lot of time on a Yamaha and rides just like Lorenzo. He did a good job tho, not knocking him, just the idiot commentators who pretend Ben had a proper bike under him, or like to blame Ben for not living up to their stupid expectations, which have not

Thank you Ben for the great racing you gave us in the AMA & for THE MOST EXCITING SEASON EVER in 2009 (WSBK Win).
You have earned yourself the opportunity to cash the DUCAUDI GP checks, since losing the heart and passion for this sport wouldn't produce any better results for you next season in WSBK either.
Best of luck finding joy in your life again.

At least professor-x (public enemy ref ?) is talking sense here... that race was anything but standard fair... how many guys crashed? How many came back in to changer bikes? Jlo crashing out trying to navigate around one of the CRT-urd machines? Beleive me I was stoked to see the guy get on the podium, but under more normal circumstances, not a chance.

Get your game on Ben, man-handle that Duc... that is the only way to ride it!!!

Ducati need a new bike that can handle well and wear the tires the same as the M1. You cant out ride a bad setup no matter how hard you try, Just ask the guys at the back of the Moto2 grid.

@ professor-x

I wouldn't go as far as to say that race was "a complete farce", sure it was a mess with the half wet- half dry track. Still, if it had been Spies instead of Nagasuka on the Yamaha that day, do you really think he would have managed finish second? He would have crashed on the second lap as he's been doing all year on the dry. I don't hate the guy or anything but his 2012 season was abismo, he should expect the boss to give him some crap about it.

actually it was a complete farce, and since spies finished less than a second behind the winner last season he probably had a good shot at finishing closer to Dani. Nobody really wants to ask why Ben and his bike have sucked this year. I think it was made clear tho recently either by Yamaha or Rossi when it has been said that the bike that is out now, is not Rossi's bike, and it is very much a Jorge Lorenzo bike, a bike that requires a bit of Traction Control / Inline riding, other wise the computer doesnt know how to behave.

If you look at how Jorge lost control right before he ran in to Ellison, it would seem his bike didnt know it was supposed to slow down :) I think Jorge's bike is very much the product of traction control, Jorge cannot ride with the rear tire coming out, he does not know how to ride like that, and at Sepang, he was panicking when his bike was moving just a little bit. I have had my own bike move more than Jorge's on the street, the guy doesnt know how to ride w

Ben did the right thing. Big question is would they (Yamaha) have did the same thing to Rossi?????? There is no doubt they 'lost confidence' in him (Rossi) when Lorenzo was winning races and on his way way to World No1!!
