The stats between these two start in 2013. Both should be in good condition and on an excellent bike. Prior to this year it doesn't matter...even if JL had a great 2009 season.

COdger, maybe Jorge is telling Vale that third on the rostrum is reserved for himself after the two Honda boys and that Vale get's the wooden spoon for first real loser and NO trophy?!

Great stats by Lorenzo.. much respect but what stats cannot do is tell the future. No one knows if JLo will last as long as Rossi did.... Remember Rossi did not miss a race for 14 years!!!!

What we do know is already written in stone... For now, Rossi is one of 2 men to achieve this much!!!

I know Ago fans.. he still does not hold the record for most wins... but he still has more premiere class wins than AGO but please...I have mad respect for Ago!! Point is Ago and Rossi are written in the books as the greatest of all times and JLo while on his way has a long way to go!!! Keep in mind only 2 men in the 66 years of World championship racing has done that..... so far!! but I believe records are made to be broken...

It's been proven, Rossi can't do Jack without a good factory bike. He's been lucky to be at the factory Honda and Yamaha for most of his career. He'd be a total no-name if he was at Ducati or a non-factory spec satellite team throughout his career. They probabyl would have sacked him after a couple of seasons.

He survived the Ducati years purely on the reputation that Honda and Yamaha built for him.

Dave

Did it ever occur to you why Honda and Yamaha employed Rossi for all those years, or why a host of other riders failed to win multiple championships on top bikes?

JL may end up with a better record and might be a better rider, but that doesn't take away from Rossi's achievements.
