Who beat Casey Stoner, and when, as a MotoGP team-mate

@XXX .
you answered your own question mate.
the reason he was only racing 2 or three other people is because , well only 2 or 3 others could ride at that speed all race long , seeing you still think casey uses excess traction control spells out that you have not been keeping up with the times.
being the fastest rider places you on the red line all the time , being on the ducati most his top class career placed him in the zone for more chances to crash , crash = no points , no points = less chance at the title , riding fast and winning races was all he cared for , if the title came it was a bonus , he has stated that himself all his career.

Stoner is one of the fastest guys out there, that is undisputed. Why wouldn't you leave MotoGP now, the series is the weakest it's ever been. 2 classes, 12 bikes in each, big deal. Read in the article that Loris was the only non-stoner victory. I do believe Troy Bayliss took a win in a one-off ride after he'd gone back to SBK

behind the scenes: so you are saying moto one and moto2 are pinicales of motor cycle racing, like all sports i look at it as the feeder series to motogp thats why i dissagree with you, some riders could clean up and take these wc and progress to motogp and win nothing so then again your rant is mute.Casey won races in those 2 classes but went on 2 win 2 motogp wc against the BEST RIDERS IN THE WORLD so what ever you mite think of casey he has done more than you would ever be able to do

"you don't achieve what he did if you're not an exceptional racer, there's been better racers in the past and there will be better racers in future but one fact you can't argue is that he was one of if not the top racer of "his" time."

Excellent point, Rossi fits that perfectly if you consider "his" time began in 1999 not 2007 like most believe.

If Casey Stoner was as good as people keep saying he was, why then only 2 championships?? You can harp on about all sorts of things, but at the end of the day it is championship wins that matter, not how fast you could hurtle round a race track! Casey was fast, but obviously it wasn't enough or he would have 6 world titles and not just the 2! Racing isn't just about setting off like a heat seeking missile as Casey proved!

Not that think you actually want the answer 'herewego', but the reason only two titles(on two different bikes, and the only Ducati title ever), is that he was riding a bike so erratic that he was the only guy that ever really won races on it even including all the world champions who have been his teammate. Also, he was riding this pig of a bike against no less than 3 other premier class world champions, including one guy in Rossi who was believed to be the GOAT. Despite all this he still won more races and accrued more points than anyone over the period he rode in MotoGP. Fair enough?

you really need to do your own homework
to understand what ducati problem all about since 2007 up to 2012
to make it clear why only casey can ride the bike

rossi back then said it's the rider not the bike
and yet he prove the opposite

he said casey didnt ride the ducati hard enough
........... yet he ate his own word for 2 seasons with ducati,
rossi go back to yamaha because he know ducati is just way to slow to improve even though ducati follow what rossi want
casey asked as well but they didnt listen, and when casey get what he wanted the other manufacture already move on to another level

1 more thing i'd like to add

in 2012 dorna change the rule in the last minute
by adding 4 kg on the bike
all honda racer have chatter because of it
pedrosa weight is way lighter than casey thus casey is the 1 who always have serious issue with chatter while pedrosa can get away with it more easily than casey

and now dorna change and add the rule again this year

LOL @ herewego

As always, i like to try and understand people who say things like this, and to try and understand what is going on in their head when such comments are made.

So, herewego, who do you think has been better than Casey during this same time?

You can only be thinking of either Pedrosa, Lorenzo or Rossi. None of which won more titles than Casey, none of which won more races, none of which were on a satellite bike for one of those years, and more notably, none of which were on a Ducati for 4 years.

So in summary, since Stoner threw his leg over a MotoGP bike up until the time he retired, not one single rider has done better than him.

So, who are you saying has done better than Stoner?
