@ Unregistered...Rossi has too much determination to NOT win another championship. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if, secretly, the plan in #46 team right now is to go for the win 1st race of season...put the hammer down on yamaha and get a psychological edge from the off, ie welkon 2004 all over again. Just would not surprise me...

Plus Ron, Ago only started his run of wins on the MV once Mike left MV. So if he could not beat Mike on the same bike I think that also shows a lot. Being the eternal optimist I don't think age is that much of a determinate. As for not being good enough are we saying ever or simply now. Obviously Rossi did not gel with the Duc, however the Yam plays to Rossi's strengths. Dani owned everyone in the second half of the season including jorge and casey. I know it was a while ago but Rossi has beaten both Casey, Dani and Stoner and equally the only one to defend a title (well since he last defended a title). Casey on the bike to have could not do that but Dani seemed to really master it. Come on 2013 in any event it should be the best racing in years.

If Rossi has decided to abandon the Ducati project and go back to Yamaha for less money it's because he wants to win, AND he thinks he can win, otherwise he would have stayed at Ducati. I also think it's true what Schwantz once said : "90% of racing is between the ears".

C'mon guys, this is just another non-story pumped out by all the 2 and 4 wheel racing sites in Winter when there's sod all real events happening. Most of them by some reporter shoving a mike in front of ex-racers who just love to think that their opinions still count.

One point about Rossi and the IOM. Was'nt it a certain Mr.Sheene who refused to go there when it was part of the racing calender, saying it was too dangerous? Nobody ever accused Barry of being undersized in the gonads department.
