In a way this isn't all bad new for Laverty because at least it gives him a chance to ride a developed motorcycle while he's learning what the Bridgestones etc can do. At least this way if he's having problems on the new bike later the team will be able to see how much of it is down to the bike or the rider.

I can't see this working, why is a guy with no experience of the class, the rubber and some of the equipment developing their own machine surely Yonny would be better placed to do that, whilst Laverty finds his feet with a proven package.

Plus why is PBM going their own way? What's the benefit to Birdy?
