Do you what does it mean if Rossi wins the title as #2 rider??? that means you and all of you Casey's schoolboys will have to find a lifetime hole to hide.

Even if Rossi were to win the title this year, we stil know he couldn't even win a single race on the Ducati. Give him a fast bike and he's a fast rider, give him a difficult bike and he's just average. He's the Agostini of the modern era. But not the greatest.

So you are saying that the number one rider who's there to develop a bike, defending Yamaha's pride, the world champion that has to defend his title doesn't have to do as much as the number 2 rider have to do?
What have you been smoking?
Get real Lorenzo ain't a Rockstar anymore....
We all know what happened in Malaysia Lorenzo won the championship but Rossi stole all the attention by winning his 46th win for Yamaha.
If you're thinking Rossi was bad look out next season for the Ducati's Mat Oxley told there weren't any differences except the paintjob for the Desmo's.

@ DR. Who,

You must have missed the last two seasons where Jorge has been the lead development rider, winning a lot of races and raising the crown for the second time in three years.

Stoner posed just as much of a threat to his title chase as Rossi has/will. Stoner is no longer there to contest, so again, Jorge has two main competitors to fight. Nothing has changed in that sense.

So in review. Jorge still the lead rider going on year number 3? Check.

Jorge still has as many rivals as he has in previous years? Check.

What's your point again? Oh yes, the paint job on the Ducati. Fair enough.

I actually didn't want to tag the name of 27 on here as it's no relevancy at all by any reason.
as for knowing you are nothing but a bait for saying 27 is suddenly highly spoken after 46 failure marriage with Ducati IS your own fault that can't see a diamond in the mud.
as for me he already starred since the initial class 'cos he could do what many can't that is winning on the historically non competitive bikes like KTM and ?(left for u to fill in).And it's already enough for me to concede his stardom through his hard days.
It's easy to say VR will win one r two races this year as easy as for me to have said that HE WILL NOT WIN ANY SINGLE RACE ON DUCATI once I heard he had signed with the Italian team by the end of season 2010.yes,I don't doubt it!

Sam i will gladly eat my words if capirossi wins another title. He's an over the hill rider with his glory days far behind him. the next big thing in motogp will be marquez, not rossi.

@ LOW LIGHT - ok you got me I can't fill in the blank.. I'll just av to take a guess at something like.... errrrm Aprilia maybe.

But seriously though, I am aware that number 27 was very great indeed and super fast. Yeah, i have seen tonnes of videos of Gilles in that good old Ferrari F1 car to know that.

@ elton

There's a long list of World Champions without wins on the Ducati. It seems most riders like a bike to handle a certain (predictable)way and when it doesn't they have a hard time. Stoner was obviously happy to let the bike do it's own thing and it worked for him and him only.

Rossi is THE LEGEND and you know it.

why do you guys persist on stating it was the handling when clearly Rossi was complaining about lack of grip on the rear tires (over heating) and lack of grip in the front tires (low heat) I love how you guys repeat what you are told by the commentators. Do you guys even ride motorcycles?

Btw, I am hoping Rossi kicks Jorge's butt, but I dont see it happening, not after Yamaha built their bike around Jorge's 250 style, Rossi will have a hard time out breaking people like he used to, and he will have a hard time contending with Jarvis & Jorge.
