re: "Martin has been released from his previous contract"

exactly. "so he could pursue other opportunities" or something like that. ulrich says his goal is SBK (ie. the superior world championship) so the yosh seat is a natural stepping stone. personally, i think he could transition right to the big leagues and skip the "farm team" altogether. i rate 'em, M-card's a BEAST and there's a good chance his exploits (along with the revolution) aren't going to be televised.

If they do run a second bike this season it will be a pay and u can ride like last year,So whom ever brings the most money can have the ride...Kinda like CRT in MotoGP.

Thanks, Bad Guy. I just had the wild guess that they should run Young and Cardenas in the same team, like Young and Hayden in the past (and even three riders before with Mladin), but looks like pay riders becoming common not only at the smaller, but also at bigger teams.

cant imagine suzuki bumping Young after all hes done for the team in the last two years. That would be pretty ****ed up imo. Cardenas is a good rider, but to punt Young after punting Hayden, well that would pretty much be signing the team's death warrant. Would be nice to see Young get a better ride and Hayden back in the game, AMA looks like its barely holding on though, EBR seemed to be the best thing about 2012 imo.

Josh Hayes said it best in his interview with Cycle News, regarding Blake in 2012. "He's an emotional rider, not a technical one, so he doesn't understand why he's fast or slow at any given time." After the first part of the year, he simply wasn't able to keep up with Hayes after the first couple of laps and would literally cry or have temper tantrums after the race, for finishing second, some 20 seconds or more behind Hayes. The guy basically is an emotional child with a grand sense of entitlement, an awful accent and pitiful camera presence. Tommy Hayden was awful in front of a camera too and I think that clearly didn't help him, when it came to Yosh thinking about letting him go. Hayden lost his ride after finishing a strong year and now Young. Yosh better hope the gamble with Cardenes pays off, or they will go from being the historically #1 desired ride in the paddock to little more than a factory supported satelite effort. Cardenes is good, great to watch on 600's, he'll do
