Will Andrea Dovizioso, Nicky Hayden, Ben Spies or Andrea Iannone achieve something Valentino Rossi could not - win a MotoGP race for Ducati?

Before VR fans go ballistic at my suggestion that VR didn't aid development well for Ducati, I'll qualify the statement..
VR / Burgess wanted new frames and so on, which they got. Nicky worked with what he got given & concentrated on ste-up to get the most out of it.
We later learn that VR needed Nicky's settings to optimise his own bike. That has to cast doubts over the quality of VR's inputs and by extension the direction of development.
Ducati have to start somewhere though & there's limited time to do it. So they start 2013 with basically 2012's bike.

Oh yea of little faith, how many of you would have put money on Casey winning the 07 WC prior to the start of the season. Yea thought as much.
Not saying that they will win one but I've been around to see some strange things happen.

I think Ben could surprise everyone - remember he likes to ride fast and loose - very much akin to the Stoner way. As long as Ducati ignore everything Rossi tried to get them to do and stay true to themselves he could do well. Nicky could also be a surprise now he is allowed to have the go faster bits

i choose NO.. Even if Casey was riding this Ducati, its esay to understand that the level of the Ducati vs is Rivals is Law and even Vs Satelite bikes the Overal performance of One Ducati on race is poor, On qualify yes, sometimes they can put the bike inside the top 5 and even on top 3 but is only on some tracks.. Rossi results compared with hayden where clearly better and at least Rossi put the Ducati on Podium at some tracks.. I dont bealive this guys will put Ducati on one podium even on rain Situacions where Ducati perform is a bit better.. What will happen him 2013 is that insted of we wach the Aspar CRT inside the Top 10 now will be more hard for them because they will have better riders on Ducati and more of them with factory support but there is allways a chance you know Ducati riders normaly crash a lot.. Last year Tech 3 Team was Stronger, for 2013 they have Brad smith that is roockie and 4sure will give places to Ducati riders.. let see Ducati place on the grid we have 3 ya

we have 3 yamahas that will beat Ducatis and 3 Hondas wish means that 7 place will be the normal Spot of the fastest Ducati maybe a fight between Hayden and Dovi and then Ben Spies and ianonne.. only on speacial situacions like any of the Top 6 players crashing or on Wet condicions Ducati will get better then 6 place.. ps. brad Smith is Roocki but Tech 3 is good bike and he can be good at motogp we never know so i think even Smith will upset the Ducati riders

How can you blame Stoner for developing the bike? Each year he would be given the bike at the beginning of the off season testing and a few changes would be made prior to the first race AND THEN NO NEW PARTS WERE PROVIDED FOR THE WHOLE SEASON!!! He sometimes resorted to retrofitting older parts to fix issues as Ducati would not provide updates. Some people who post in this forum speak the biggest load of crap and obviously have no idea of the sport or its history. They let their bias towards a rider turn their brain into mush.

What's the question?

Will they win a MotoGP race or will they beat the CRT's?

On both NO!

Audi has admitted that with Preziosi gone they need to start over, Prezioso held on to strong on is thoughts of the Ducati dream..
Instead of developing a bike for the 100% it was only the frame part by part. They didn't listen to Casey that's why he left. They didn't listen to Rossi so he's gone by the same thing and a lot of riders hated the development of Ducati. Winning this season hmm I'm sure they would be glad with podium finishes and that seems too hard to accomplish. Maybe some small successes halfway the season when the first updates roll out. With 4 developmental riders they already have more feedback compared to last year.
