re: "Maybe his switch had more to do with his wife than himself?"

nothing wrong with being a husband to your wife and father to your child. no truer test of manhood. collecting a check with the ability to fly home almost at the end of every day is but vegemite icing on the cake. :) in your face wobbling CRT's.

To all the people saying Casey deserves more than a second tier series: you do understand the concept of working your way up in a sport, right? Did any MotoGP rider start on a prototype? Or even a street bike, for that matter? No, they started on mini bikes.

Casey will no doubt need at least one season to orientate himself within the sport, the rules, etc, before hitting the big leagues. For that matter, why do you suppose many riders choose to stay in Moto2 an extra year or two before moving up to the GPs? To gain the experience which will help their one and only shot at success in GPs successful.

I kinda hope he sucks at car racing, so maybe he'll be more likely to come back to MotoGP. I wish him all the best and so on but this guy has a god given gift for bike racing, I'd rather see him smoking the rear tyre on any GP bike than punting a bike cage around a track.

Seems all the Casey haters already know that he'll fail - why don't you take a big bet on it?? You could win big style. Go on boys.
I bet he'd be world MotoGP one day way back when he was 14 - yep, you guessed it , he won - and I won.
Go on haters, prove you're right-you know best.

I dont think he will come back unless the rules are changed, he was fed up of riding a laptop, just like most riders are including Rossi, its about the only thing they agread on.
