considering triple 8 racing now have red bull as their title sponser is a dead give away he's racing in v8s with them being casseys main sponser, after bein with Vodafone for years. obviously they're footing the bill for Casey getting the drive, probably along with all the data to go with the best car on the grid.

I had heard from a v8 helmet designer he was joining v8s about a few weeks after he quit motogp. jus

Motojunky...I follow MotoGP, not a particular rider. Lets look at why the best team on the grid is willing to back this bloke. In the slightly detuned test car in his first outing in a V8 he was lapping faster than Craig Lowdnes, the three times champion. In his second outing, and first time in a fully tuned tier 1 car, he was lapping within 2 seconds of the best ever times. Those faster times done during qualifying on new tyres and low fuel by the best in the business. Wayne Gardner ended up in the best team in V8 Supercars and did very well at Bathurst and also won the first ever V8 Supercar race! Barry Sheen ended up being a Supertruck racing champion for many years. The ability to concentrate for extended periods of time and feel the machine under you are the two most important aspects and as the 888 team owner said, Casey has got those skills in bucketloads. My brother is friends with the bloke who purchased the sister car to Casey's. He says the field will not cut him any slack a

watching these comments is like watching football fans, they hate each other more than the people taking part. The journalists build these things so people can come on these forums and make they're job seems worth while. While Rossi and Lorenzo were at the Yamaha launch last week probably having a laugh people were on here tearing each other a part, very funny.

I dont see people complaining when Ago,Doohan,Rainey etc are mentioned on Crash, yet they have all long retired.
Seems like its just the Stoner haters who are now doing the "moaning".
Bit childish really.
I hope Stoner enjoys his new career and has much success.

@ Stavros

Rossi is in the legend club even before he is retired. Casey stoner is only two-time champion nothing more. only one more than Haydon. Stoner has no legend manner.
