@ Old Codger

They are calling you out man. :)

I think somebody hit the nail on the head about the impending confidence issues. The moment that Dovi and Spies throw a leg over those Desmos - in a race - and try to contend with a Honda or Yamaha, they are going to be pissed.

I like how Dovi stated "it good because Rossi didn't do much with bike", last I heard Rossi was not a fitter and turner or alu fabricator, that would be the job of the fattoria. I wonder if Dovi especially will have the same feeling of dread that Rossi is alleged to of had after his first decent ride of the Duc (in the dry)

I also miss the tyre wars. 2007 killed it, pedrosa and Rossi lead the charge complaining about the advantage, which yes, it was there but such is the nature of having more than one tyre manufacturer in the series. Catalunya 2007 you had Ducati v Yamaha with a Honda just hanging on the tail, 1 Bridgestone two Michelin. To me it wasnt about who would win but the circumstance itself was terrific. Different bike brands on different tyres but still it was close to the end. Brilliant.

I don't!

What if Michelin comes back with a tire that blows the whole competition away, you can count on it that everyone wants the Michelin so history is repeating itself just like 2007/2008

It rained almost the whole time. Today we squeezed three days of work into about five hours which obviously required skipping some of the steps we had planned.

This comment is completely at odds with what he has said in recent articles about pressure on riders and the test program where steps had to be missed out and parts used before proper testing and it appears from his comments here they are doing something similar right now ! Just the usual boring press statements constantly issued, a lot like other sports like cricket or rugby ! guess should expect less than nothing by now !
