“The four of us are the favourites, but there can always be surprises and so I don't like to make predictions” – Jorge Lorenzo.

Jorge picks the four contenders out of the only 4 who have the tools in the field to consistently finish top 4. Thanks George mate, I'd been really struggling with the bleedin' obvious.

@ Slide Rules! Your 'Truman Show' comparison is SPOT ON! MotoGP is now an entertainment show, like WWF Wresting or a soap opera, just at much higher speeds.

The racers are hugely talented, and (some of) the machinery truly exotic and special, but those things alone do not a good racing series make.

@ Truefan.. Yeah but they obviously wouldn't have won and run away with it so that was a bit of a groundless 'brain snapping kind of comment' . Sorry to hit nerves but I was only pointing out that when he gets machinery he is confident with he performs, and I don't think his age or the last 2 years will affect him that badly.. Basically he is pos the same rider as 3-4 years back, that's all I'm getting at.

First I agree with Lorenzo on the fav 4 but that didn't take much tought. Mega I agree that the Honda is the better bike especially since mid-season last year when the resolved it's issues and Pedro went on a tear. The top two should be JLo and Pedro with hopes that Pedro wins. It's a bit too early to say how well Rossi will do but I would be surprised if he's not competitive. MM as a rookie has the best bike and should be nipping at bottom of podium or near it when he's not crashing or knocking someone down.

@ Dacron...I was surprised that Casey held on as long as he did, surely a credit to his wet weather riding. I was pointing out to 'Performance' that Rossi wasn't a back marker on that occasion and furthermore he didn't need any advantages.

@Megalol

"Sorry dude but VR and JLo wont be on the best bike in 2013. Best bike will be the HRC Honda. Just like at the second part of 2012 when they managed to solve the tyre problems. Yamaha is very good and close to Honda but no way better than them."

So you're saying that even though Stoner had the best bike last season he couldn't hack it? A repeat of his Ducati years then, eh? And IF Rossi gels with the "not the best bike" Yamaka this season, then a 10th championship is a near possibility?

Some of the stuff posted on here is ridiculous... Do you think Jorge waved a commentator over just to give them his view? He was clearly asked the question so he responded... No **** it was the obvious response.

And Ive never seen people cry so much about 'Oooohhh noo its too like wrestling' or 'It's a drama' WHO CARES? People like you were probably bitching at the squabbling between Rainey and 'revvin Kevin.
If it bothers you so much then turn the TV on when the race starts and off when it finishes, don't attend message boards or read rider interviews.
Gaawwdd.

Sure Lorenzo is more credible to predict his closest rival, he is the one racing on the track, not like us fan, who just watching the race. He had race all of them so he know better than us.
