MM has come through the ranks and dominated on bikes that use a standard engine, bit different to when Rossi won his junior titles.

I think he shows more promise than Rossi but of course he is progressing to the top class that is more competitive with control tyres and more riders on more equal bikes so maybe more difficult than when Rossi got Doohans winning repsol.

He is going to be a threat from the start, once adapted to the bike he will be hard to beat!

@kursk, dovi was only a little overrated, his one win in 09 was his only podium that year, but he beat pedrosa in 2011!! marquez has some pretty big hype to live up to, I think I speak for everyone when I say if he's not the 1st rook to win since '08, he's disappointed us. multiple (at least 5 I'd say) podiums are also expected if pedro can get 8 podiums/2wins and jorge can get 6 podiums, 1 win as rooks.

Go on then coz I got a disbielever.
The golden child spent a lot of time in the wind tunnle for the best aero package on the grid. The ram air system was probably the best on the grid giving perfect pressure and boost. He Visited more tracks and spent more time in the seat than anyone, giving his team had more information about gear ratios and suspension settings.

Equal machinary ?
