It will be interesting to see how he goes with more weight and horsepower to wrestle.

His ride win in the wet at Valencia last year from the back of the grid was something to see. I just hope he doesn't kiss the hay bales too often or too hard as he comes to terms with the step up.

My only prediction is that when he passes Rossi with aggression, the yellow brigade will be outraged. And that will be entertaining...

Don't blame MM for his "advantages" in Moto2. Even the quickshifter was proven to be within the rules from last year, and at least one writer was forced to eat crow after accusing him of essentially cheating.

Plain and simple, those who run the show have turned it into a circus. Rules that don't promote parity ... CRTs ... Preferential treatment ... You can blame them.

MM and his cast are just playing the game, and doing a bloody good job of it.

I have no doubt Marquez is good but let's be real. Dorna and Honda turned their face to claims of cheating by the Repsol Moto2 team on Marquez' bike so much that the quickshifter and software used by Marquez became the official standard for this year.

Only fool will beleive that Marques bike has no advantage over his rivals. How many time i saw Marquest purposely sitting up on the straight line to slowdown his bike from passing other rider. I could clearly smell a home cooking from dorna's office. But then we can't deny marques skill and fearlessness on the bike. which makes him unstopable in moto in the past 2 yrs. I can't wait to see how he will react when rossi pays him back with on of his aggressive move. Roll on 2013...

MM getting a podium in his first race is not unrealistic , he has one of the best bikes on the grid for his rookie year , a privilege not many get in there first season.
if i recall correctly i think pedro got 2nd in his first race in 06 on a repsol as well.

They all used the same software in moto 2 and quick shifters were already allowed, also performance was tracked by data loggers, the fastest riders constantly had there bikes checked.

Possible they found an angle more likely M
M and team were what made the difference.

We will find out how good he is this year, I suspect very good.

If he stays on the bike, he will have every chance of being on the podium. As someone has mentioned, really only 4 competitive bikes out there. But judging from history rookies do fall a lot.
