For the second half of the season the Honda was the superior bike. The initial chassis was knackered by the last minute weight regulation change. Once they received the new chassis at Laguna (iirc) they were awesome (as proven by Dani's best season so far).

The Honda has worked better at the tracks latter in the year before, the fact remains that Yamaha took out the championship last year and would have done so the previous year as well if it wasn't for Stoner, in fact they have been dominant for some time, I see nothing in the results to suggest the Honda is better, the fact is that Lorenzo already had enough points to win if he just played it safe in the latter races, you really wouldn't know how good the Yamaha was Towards the end of the year compared to the Honda.

i myself like MM he is the next BIG name in motogp if not already second big name in motogp & i wouldnt be shocked to see him battling it out for the title come the end of the seasons last few races, those bikes have always looked the best them colours really work well! thinking the factory yams would look good in the colours rossi ran at the end of 2012 season test session yellow front fender for VR46 & red jl1#

MM has a load of expectations on him now and we will just have to wait to see how he responds Remember Pedro didn't set the world on fire. If MM falters he is going to be in a bad situation for sure. Ask Ben about that.

Unfortunately, this is not possible anymore (they changed the rules), let's put him on a Satellite bike or CRT and see his special abillities. After that We could make better statements.

The chance this year will be close racing is very, very small. The status quo is the same, just with 2 different names on the only 4 bikes really capable of filling the top 4 spots in the WC. There is some interest there, to see how the return of VR goes, and how MM does, but that's it.
Those 4 may well be spread out after lap or 2 at many tracks. Then there'll be a gap to the 2nd Class Sats & Ducati's (which if 2012 is a gauge, may well be pretty spread out & static, with the odd tussle going on).
Then we'll have another gap, with the CRT's having a scrap to be top dog in what is really the 3rd Class. Hard to guess how close the competition will be between the CRT's, but it won't matter much as the cameras won't be on them, so we won't see it anyway.
Hmm, doesn't MotoGP sound exciting! Er... No.
