Marquez will have a massive machinery advantage this year as well!!

How exactly?
What "massive" advantage does the Honda have?
If it has such a "massive" advantage, how come Yamaha won the championship last year?

It comes in 2 forms.
1. Engineering might/dollars to make the most out of the fuel limits.
2. That super trick gearbox that gives you 1/10s accelerating out of a corner.

psssst.....Ducati have one of those magical gear boxes too. Last I heard Yamaha is developing one too.

How has that big budget and trick gear box worked for them over the last six years?

@CRT,
Both Yamaha and Ducati have a version of the gearbox. But they are not near as sophisticated as Honda's. Honda's engineering is second to none. Not to mention their desire to dominate racing.
From Motomatters:

Bike
Average shift time (ms)
Ducati 42
Yamaha 27
Honda 8

And becuase of Honda's Magical Gear Box they have won every race since it's inception........wait..........

The time was calcualted to the hundreth of a second, not a tenth per corner in your previous post.

Every factory has thier own unique performance factor, including Ducati. Why not go after Yamaha for developing the best frame in the business? That wouldn't be the same because they are not the "evil empire" right?

You are wording it that if Marquez wins it's only because of the magical gear box, which is obtuse.

Hundredths per shift. Add a few shifts per corner and you have tenths.
Even in the worst case of .2 seconds per lap. At the end of the race that is 5 seconds.

Ignore the math to avoid the subject if you wish. 5 seconds is an eternity. I am not hammering Honda (unless you think the comment that Honda's engineering is second to none is hammering), they have the know-how to do it. But the reality is their bike is superior. Best engine, best fuel consumption, best gearbox, second best frame (maybe as good now). Honda knows how to go racing. More power to them. (Pardon the pun)
