"However Dorna's Carmelo Ezpeleta recently warned that the factory would need to source a grid place from an existing team"...What a joke.Motogp is in the worst state in it's history and that clown makes a statement like that.

It's to stop them returning for one season and then pulling out whenever they like. If they join with an already involved team, then they are less likely to pull out of their own accord.

This dude should be begging manufactures to join the series which has only two brands capable of winning and not the other way round. No wonder MotoGP has become this mediocre series Ezpeleta is managing it!

I'd like to ask Expletive Caramello " What's wrong with a team entering and then leaving after one year, if they have to ?"
He should be encouraging Mnfrs to take part, not making up rules which are designed to make life difficult for just one particular factory.
He has already decreed that all manufacturer teams should make FOUR bikes available (two for the works team, two for satellite) and I agree that would be a significant addition to the grid. But now he is saying that Suzuki cannot field their own works team, which is robbing himself of two more satellite bikes!
He made the rookie rule, then un-made it, and I'm sure he'd do the same with this one if, say, Kwak or BMW wanted to enter a works team.
I think he's just playing hard-to-get as revenge for Suzuki's previous withdrawal.

Dorna's Carmelo Ezpeleta = The wheel is turning but the hamster is dead.
Carmelo have you really thought this one out because you're not coming across as bright or having any leadership skills.

If a factory must provide at least 4 bikes on the grid to enter MotoGP World Championship, i think the most likely scenario is a Suzuki Factory Team and a Satellite Team (maybe Aspar)..

And i don't think Carmelo Ezpeleta is STUPID enough to prevent Suzuki from making an entry in 2014..

Or is he....????
