Stoner is an incredible rider with unmatched riding skills. I respect him for speaking out loud.

But stop moaning all the time!

Has he got a personality disorder? "we" are spat on, "we" didn't get the respect, "we"....

It's a team sport, yes. And I appreciate that he includes his team. But get a grip and don't talk like the whole team is riding the bike on track.

The only thing I don't agree on in this interview is Stoner's reference to Simoncelli. No fan or rider has forgetten him. His memory is being kept alive, or did he miss what happened at Misano this year? And the half a dozen charity events that carry his name?

Stoner feels he was personally targeted by idiotic fans, but he should also think that other riders go through the same unfortunate thing. Simoncelli was called barbarian by the Spanish press for a long period of time and had to have a police escort at Catalunya because some crazed fan threatened to kill him. Or the dozen of death threats that Rossi and his family received by a stalker in 2010 before the Mugello GP.

Great post earlier about a breakaway series, why not? Dorna has cornered the market buying MotoGP and SBK and focussing 2 wheel sport in Spain, so I am sure the manufacturers will soon get sick of being dicated to even though it is their R&D dollars being wasted in this dumbing down competition and side show. A new series for new markets, lets race through Asia & Eastern Europe and Middle East, bypass Spain and do a special Euro Summer Tour at legendary spots only. Use roadbikes but do whatever you want to them, real factory and manufacturer competition, race on Sunday Buy on Monday, all nations all stars Rock and Roll!!

Great honest bloke, MotoGP has some sad fans out there and I blame rossi for a lot of it. His so called mind games and childish antics etc etc made his fans what they are, can't see the wood for the trees,i.e. blinkered. Good on you Casey for being straight and honest and hope we see you one day back on a bike.

Sound strategy not to 'burn' the bridges. Some times its easy to do that kind of thing, but no sense throwing away opportunity.

Despite some of the hate, I have to commend the general shift in attitude on crash over the last couple+years or so, from degenerate hate to some what reasoned appeal with the occasional clinger seeking to promote their own appeal.

I think though, some of the 'fans' need to separate the bull that goes along with the 'circus-maximus' because if they cant understand what its all about their identities will always be in conflict with reality and an honest appeal.

Casey = Sun, Vale = Moon, in the dark you can see more stars, and its easier to dream the sweet dream, dont suppose Vale will ever enlighten or shine as bright as Casey in his worse years with Ducati.
