TaslentFan,

"Rossi clearly believes that he'd be in with a much stronger shout if the bikes demanded more rider input, & less laptop input."

Vale always had the biggest advantage from electronics. He said "this isn't fair" when testing the 211V in 2002 and had the HRC electronics guru in his team. When he went to Yamaha they also poached those same engineers and maintained the advantage. He took them to Ducati with him, and Yamaha again poached HRC's top guys. Its been a long time since he's been on a bike that didn't have significant electronic advantages.

Didn't he complain that the electronics were the problem with the Ducati after the 80th chassis revision?

@ Billace. Well, what is said to the press and what is actually true are often different animals I guess. I have no idea of the truth about Vale's real thoughts and feelings about the electronics on any of the bikes, but he's certainly spoken in public to the effect that he feels it should be more rider, less bike when it comes to control.

As for me - well, I am intrigued by how VR & MM will run compared to JL & DP, and overall how individuals & teams perform. I'm mildly interested, but not excited by MotoGP sorry to say. I'll be looking fwd to, & expecting to actually enjoy Moto2/3 & WSBK far, far more, where there is the prospects for proper racing.

Put all the current motogp riders together and they dont have as many wins as valentino and that includes a no win two year stint at ducati. Ago's record is doable for rossi and i hope he does it to shut the critics up.

Nothing without the M1
Or the Honda RC211v
or the Honda NSR500
or the A RS250
or the A RS125
or the pocket bike
etc.

@LCTanner - and now he's back on the Yamaha, and Stoner's left, there's nothing to stop him. Except maybe Lorenzo. Or Pedrosa. Or maybe Marquez...

He might get the number of wins if he stays long enough, but do you really think he's going to win another 7 world championships? Because IIRC, that's Ago's record...

Rossi already has the most wins in MotoGP history, what difference does it make getting the outright number of wins if there are a lot less championships? Real Rossi fans only count championships...good luck to him though.

@truefan of course he thinks rossi will beat agos record. Rossi will break every record there is to break in motogp. Now that hes back with yamaha, he'll win every race this year, Lctanner and I guarantee it. He's rossis number 2 fan behind me. He will also win the isle of man 11 times probably more. He was just joking around on that ducati. It was actually a crt in disguise if you all didn't know. So him getting a few podiums on it was like a miracle only rossi could do.

Angel Nieto?
Mike Hailwood?
Carlo Ubialli?

Are we close?
Surtees won 7, plus Formula 1...that's got to be close. And he won the IoM and Belfast road races.
And Hailwood retired when he was about 16...and he won the IOM on and understeering Ducati...12 years after he retired...nuff said?

lot of comments about vale not liking the electronics!!!
if he didn't like them he would turn them right down like stoner did
vale has been using electronics longer than all of them .
one of his main upgrades he looked forward to at ducati was the electronics to try and mellow out the aggressive engine , stoner managed the aggressive engine by turning the electronics right down so he could slide the rear and get the bike turning at high speeds.
but these are just facts so i suggest you all just continue to disregard them and make up stuff that sounds better.
