"You dont seem to have very high expectations mate.Only one victory in 18 races for the guy touted as the GOAT riding the championship winning bike!
If he only wins one race this year, serious questions will be asked."

Like maybe he's past it? Perhaps he is, but he's been here far longer that Lorenzo and Stoner ,and won twice as many titles than either. If Jorge is still winning championships in 3 years time then you can gloat. If Casey is still... oh never mind!

Ducati was a disaster. Stoner rode it far better. But in 2012 Pedrosa was beating Stoner before he hurt himself trying to keep up (pressure from being behind Dani made him crash right?) Maybe he was past his best (sound familiar?)

You think Jorge and Dani would do better on the Ducati than Rossi did? Honestly? Stoner was genius on the Ducati, but on Honda in 2012, Dani OWNED him!

Did i mention Stoner and Lorenzo in my comment Clint?
The fact is Rossi is not over the hill and he is now riding the championship winning bike.So to predict that he may only win a single race in the coming season is not very optimistic is it?
Especially as most of his fans were declaring that he was going to romp away with the title when he joined Ducati. But that didnt happen did it?
Now it seems that a single race win will be seen as a success. How times change!

Who would have thought this was going to happen?
All the talk about "burning bridges" at Yamaha.
A lot(most)of people should be eating humble pie, but no, they are saying it was Dorna, sponsors, and politics. So what, it's all part of the sport (any sport) and only people that live under rocks don't acknowledge that. McIlroy the golfer is getting $25mill in sponsorship off Nike for 10 years for hitting a golf ball. $14 mill off Ducati for(trying lol)riding a rocket-ship Moto GP bike is not that much in comparison. The comment about Stoner before he went there will go on to haunt Rossi for the rest of his career, but he had the humility to admit he got it wrong and complimented (in a round about way) Stoner on what he did at Ducati. He now has has a task ahead of him after 2 years in the doldrums.
Welcome back.

Rossi's championships were a walk in the park in comparison. He was never closely challenged by anyone, had special clauses on his contract handicapping his team mates, blocked anyone competitive from being his team mate, had special tires and parts tested by other racers but only available to him and only him on raceday and has had uncle Ezpeleta pushing buttons on his favor.

Not apples to apples IMO.

If he wins the championship this year then he can be called whatever his fans want to call him.
