@ mince. "Dani "OWNED" Stoner in 2012. Let's see, Dani 7 wins from 18 starts. Stoner 5 wins from 15 starts. If "OWNED" is the right word for that, what's your word to describe their results in 2011?"

Dani made 18 starts because he didn't feel so under preasure trying to beat his team mate he didn't crash and miss 3 rounds like #27 did. Wasn't Rossi accused of doing the same thing being under pressure from Lorenzo in 2010?

And as for referring to 2011? Isn't that living in the past like a certain Italian's fans are accused of doing?

Double standards mate, when it suits you. Pedrosa was stonger and more consistant than Stoner in 2012. Stoner has quit, so the pressure won't bother him any more.

clint flange,
You misunderstand me. I'm not debating who's the best. Im a fan of them all, from where I'm watching they're all unbelievably good. My point is your use of the word "OWNED" is more than a bit over the top.

Wow! How humble is the man, he seems to have his finger on the pulse of his own limitations. Mature comments by a mature rider. Good luck to him, I hope he can breath some life into MotoGP for 2013 ... and I'm a Stoner fan!

Dani owned Casey at Sachsenring, just like he owned Lorenzo at Sepang and Brno. Would have been interesting to see Dani finish at PI cause that would have been the true litmus test. Dani has upped it up, hes got a couple more steps though, hes got the best bike, all he needs are Honda and Repsol to give him the green light and Bridgestone not to handicap and he will be out braking and out charging the Yams all season long.

Dont think Rossi can catch Dani anymore, even if he has a slight tire advantage, Dani has learned out to 'flow' with the bike. He doesnt ride on top of the bike like Jorge and Rossi does, he rides 'with' the bike.

From Page 1 (I think) "With the silly CRT rules watering down the quality of machinery on the grid, and with the departure of Casey. Motogp needs him (VR)to be back on the pace pushing for wins

1. Without CRT there'd be just 12 bikes on the grid - not viable AT ALL. Slagging CRT when there would be nothing else is er... not bright. No other Mfr's want to enter MotoGP as they know the game is rigged.

2. MotoGP does not 'need' VR or any one rider pushing for wins - its needs true in-depth competition so that the winner actually had a race to be the victor OF!

As for VR's 2013 performance.... With 1 of only 4 bikes with truly WC-winning potential, and MM a rookie on 1 of those, then if VR can't get those 10 podiums (with some of those at least 2nds) then fans & non-fans will have to contemplate that VR isn't justifying his factory Yam ride.

The term owned should not be used so loosely.
To say Stoner "OWNS" PI would not get many arguments off posters. But to say Danni owned Stoner is a bit far fetched. And as for Dani not falling off on the 1st lap, made no difference, Stoner was nearly a second quicker in qualifying. Just saying, not after a bitching debate.

@Clint Flange

Maybe you and your pub mates are not very well aware that Rossi broke his leg in practice session and not in a race chasing Jorge. Plus where were you when vale owned him with broken bones at Sepang? and later?

If Rossi's championships were walk then how come Stoner, Pedrosa, Haydon and rest couldn't thake that walk??? 2007 Rossi had absolutely no luck he lost the title winning more races than Nicky, 2007 to that superior Desmo, 2008-2009 raced against Jorge, Dani, Casey, Nicky...and rest and won 2 titles back to back. Now tell me Why Jorge, and Casey couldn't do it?? Rossi were virtually out of the competition riding that Desmo-donkey. lol you must ask yourself what Casey did in lower categories?? and his early years with Honda???
