@ herewego.
I was lucky enough to see a GP there in 07 and thought the joint was great. (comparing it with Oz tracks) The layout and atmosphere all good.

@Rod Coates.
Had a bit of a chuckle at your post. You sure you didn't mean Aust. I thought we were the only Country that was anti- motorcyclists. lol.

Without sounding negative, I doubt it will happen.

I raced at Pembrey for years and in the late 90's we were told they were going to rebuild the track to 'international standards' with a horse racing track and a CIK approved kart track there too.....never happened.

The developers of the Angelsey circuit must be wondering what lies in their future. A Bigger and Better Welsh circuit is the last thing they needed.
True, Ebbw Vale is more accessible on a Wednesday afternoon, but a while ago I drove to Cardiff and back on the same day as a Welsh international Rugby match was being played at their stadium and there were queues of several miles on both the M4 and M48 Severn Crossings. They simply could not handle the traffic then, so what chance do they have of keeping traffic moving on a GP or WSBK weekend?
The Ebbw Vale circuit is the answer to a question no-one asked.

Of course dorna will back the idea as a way of giving Silverstone a kick up the jacksee with year to go on their race contract. Highly unlikely any public money would ever go in to this and frankly why should it. Motorsport is hardly that high up on the do list amongst road, rail, airport, schools, hospitals. The consultants and designers will make a few quid but as a viable ongoing business in very small and declining sector - fat chance
