I bbasically agree with Stoners sentiments. What he says about fans really just focusing on 'biff and barge' racing is 100% correct. These guys put their lives on the line for 45 minutes but then if the gap to the front is too big all many of the fans can come out with is 'gee that was boring' if his or her favourite rider didn't win. There is a certain lack of respect from some quarters about what it is these guys are actually doing I beleive, there is a very shallow kind of appreciation for the skill and courage It takes to do what they do, that some fans can describe the action as 'boring' because there wasn't a last lap pass has frustrated me for a long time. Posters like shadow above beleive somehow that's it's all so easy or less dangerous now, when in fact the opposite is true. Riders are more on the edge than ever and making less mistakes than ever, and in fact much of the 500 and 990 era was dominated by processional, racing.

@out of context "After losing Marco Dorna and co threatend the other riders to go to Japan even though there were safety issues after the tsunami induced nuclear leaks. Reference his remarks about the show must go on etc."

The Malaysia race was two races after Japan. Sepang was the 17th and 2nd to last race of the 2011 season, just before Valencia. Motegi was the 15th race of the season, two before Sepang.

there has always been biff and barge in racing casey,
its just the fact you dont like it. "i know racing ive been in hard racing all my life" you once stated after the Laguna 08 race when you spat the dummy, had you won that race it would of been a different story, just like when you bashed into a few riders last season.
its ok when you do it but when it happens to you, you cry about it becuase you come off 2nd best.

how much crying is this guy gonna be doing in v8 racing when someone decides to pull the "rookies" chain and give you a shunt..

rubbin son is racin.
and no. noone has forgotton about Sic, they just choose to continue on with their lives and racing which is what all racers do, but they would never forget this guy.

Stoner doesn't think everyone has forgotten Simoncelli you numpty. He's talking about the dangers of the sport being overlooked too much.. Is it really that hard to understand?

I agrea with Simon. If Casey was getting spa att then he wasn't by fans because people who do that are not fans, but his simoncelli comments I hope was taken wrong as it come across very callas, how could he possibly know what's in people's heads. Casey's talant I will miss, his child like comments like wht he said 2 Rossi I won't miss.

Why do people give Stoner stick for not going to Marco's funeral? You'd be surprised how many motorcycle/car racers don't go to funerals of competitors. Steve Hislop never went to funerals of competitors not because he didn't care but because that's how he dealt with it.

Some riders/drivers just don't want to be reminded of what can happen to them on the race track.
