Maybe I'm cynical...I hope crash isn't just posting this story because Brad was trashed by a heap of people over his prospects, and this is a contrivance to generate site traffic, at Smith's expense...when did Bradley say these things?

He's a rider who stops to say hello to the fans, sign pictures and loves his sport, so why give him such are hard time, tearing him up.

He gets such a hard time on these boards that I don't understand why he would write anymore columns for crash.

Brad, go for it this year push hard as you can as there are a lot of us still rooting for you and we respect everyone in the toughest class on 2 wheels.

Most people would agree that Marquez is a bit special, right?

So if you're only 1.2 from Marquez it can't be that bad, can it?
Bradders will do ok, if he can ride the way Bradl did in 2012 he should be thrilled but realistically of the 12 prototype bikes he should end the season just getting somewhere in the mix with them.

Just remember the calibre of talent out there with him... ..and the factor in that the CRT bikes WILL be quicker this year too.
A top 8 result will be good finish.

Fact is that smith must have earned his ride, otherwise he would not have got it. He is getting paid to ride he is not a pay rider. The tech 3 team have all the tech data and know how well he rode a bike that was no match for the front runners. It's not like tech 3 wasn't spoilt for choice its a coveted ride. We will also se how well he developes a bike also as tech 3 have build a new moto2 chassis for this year and it must be from Smith's tech feedback.
