“I'm both excited and more than a little bit nervous because this a big deal for me. From the first to the last minute of the three days I have to keep my brain switched on and do the business” – Bradley Smith.

To a certain extent your right. The part about the Spanish and Italians being better isn't strictly true. It's down to the structure of racing in the UK, US, Aus etc its all production based where as the Spanish have a brilliant system that feed riders through.

Hence the negative comments towards BS, would he be in a motogp team now without money? Firsty of all money to go and race in Spain through your early career. Who belives he would have had the talent to shine enough coming through the ranks os 600's SBK etc. So in all fairness to Crutchlow yes he's had good backing but come on he started in R6 cup FFS that really is coming throught the hard way!!

Ok, another perspective.... If all the top racers were to wear the same leathers and rode unmarked bikes, with only numbers on the riders (not knowing who was who), Would you still watch knowing the very best racers were out there mixing it up? This is the pinnacle of Motorcycle Racing, not a flag ceremony. If you are a great rider, your talents will get you where you need to be. As much as I don't want to admit it my nationality doesn't have the best riders in the world. I still want to watch the best racers though. I can watch a local series or World Superbike and see Mid-Pack MotoGP racers dicing it up for the wins every weekend. MotoGP is the elite racers, all racers (except Stoner) want to race there.

go Brad good to see a young british rider coming through getting the ride in moto GP who has not come through on production based machines. he does lots to help young riders starting out in racing in the uk. wait and see how quick he is over the season before you slag of somebody who has won GPs on the track and not on a keyboard.

"Brad Smith must have Crash.net on the back of his leathers this season.

This is the only website that talks about him.

The other moto websites are talking about race winners. "

Lol, sad but true
