@ roctor "When will Ducati cut the crap and build a race winning engine? The desmo is a leftover icon of old F1 days to sddress valve float.Yamaha and Honda showed they solved that problem.Ducati's investment/development is at the point of deminishing returns"

Ducati still use the Desmo in their bikes. HRC & Yam use current F1 tech (pneumatic valves int by Honda at Mugello 2008) to combat and compete with Desmo & Stoner (well, they couldn't be seen to 'copy' Ducati could they eh?).

You'll NEVER see pneumatic valves on a road bike - so using it is just a way to get higher rpms and an advantage in MotoGP -its a total development dead-end. Honda & Yam 'solved' the problem by using existing F1 tech to get an advantage.

Get MotoGP to ban the ludicrous and expensive tech (simple way is to introduce an rpm limit which removes the need for stupidly expensive & pointless tech) and the playing field would be levelled overnight and costs slashed. but HRc & Yam don't want that do they!

@stavros and too slow... First of all i am not a hater of either rossi or stoner.. The thing is rossi rode the ducati for the first time in valencia.. He was not fit by mentally as well as physically... And the second thing is that rossi nevr rode the exact bike as stoner's., and then he opted for a completely diffrent modifications to the bike during his next test at sepang and hoped that this would suit him.. But unfortunately it didn't...

Can we please cut Ducati and their 4 riders some slack?

Gobby has suggested that they start testing with NO new parts, introduce them (they already exist made for Nicky and Rossi but not tried) one by one and carry on from there.
Add to that 3 of the riders are new to the bike and it is far too early to cane them for not improving.

ducati should really change the whole bike and start from scrap., they are getting worse and worse., poor ducati rider i think even if casey is on the duc he would not be so competitive

Its pritty nobvious to me that the Ducati is not a championship winning bike its Stoner that made the difference on that specific bike somehow it worked with his style. Stoner is not 2 secounds a lap better than Rossi as has just been proven by these test times. Stoner was rarley faster than Danny on the same equipment last year and how many times has danny kicked Rossi's **** since being at Honda. Nice to see the 46 up front again. Stoner boys why don't you switch over and watch brat boy racing v8's while real bike fans follow MotoGP BYE BYE STONER.

Wow after 2 years on the Ducati Rossi has remembered how to ride, now Dovi has forgot how to do it. Stoner got a worse result each year after 2007 on the Ducati until dumping it for the Honda.

But some on here still say the bike is ok and its the riders.
