"It was a big relief, because after two seasons like this you have a lot of question marks, a lot of doubt" - Valentino Rossi.

Oh yeah now it's going....2007 Stoner superman on a bad bike, genius and fastest ever, king of slide, e.t.c. c'mon guys it's sow funny to read this comments. At end of this year nobody will talk about Stoner, believe me. Only if he smash he's head if Rossi will win a title. Please, Stoner fans, dont humiliate yourself by remembering 2007 year:)

@Dr Chaos

you have record that matters,so does Ducati have with its record and exriders history in which one of them was neither contradiction nor supposition.just as fast most times can be.

@ Vilas,

So we may have to listen to you spout off two years of excuses is what you are saying? Brilliant.

I don't make race predictions or championship winner predictions. It's pointless. The season is long and many things can happen. I would like to see Dani win it this year, I would like to see Marquez at the pointy end, but most of all, I want to see some good racing. I don't care who's doing it.

You see, unlike you, I don't have to hero worship to enjoy this sport. Nor do I have to insult other riders to try and big up my favorite, which is your trademark.

@ Green Monster
You mean the bike Fruwasawa developed? Nice try though.

Can see all the spiteful children are out of school then, queueing up with glee to start the usual antics.

Calm down kiddies - its too early yet to say whether VR is there or not. His bike could run 4th with my Mum on it as its a factory item, and 0.4s difference is not enough to crow about one way or the other.

If VR can maintain that gap before testing ends, or close the gap THEN maybe the VR sheeple can start braying like donkeys, & the anti-VR's quiet down. It COULD be the other way around though, so mouthing off by any kiddies today is foolish.

The next day should see who can improve best and most over today's efforts and perhaps be a little more indicative of how things could go IMO.

Amongst the days top 4, dan and JL hardly had any odds to tackle,,, for marc instead of having an usual rookie's odd he came with an added advantage... 1. straight onto the best machine( seems better than yamaha too) 2. Already had the feel of bike in private test. 3. Full on confidence because full of support and applauds alround for him.

Its vale who faced the most odds today.
1. Low on confidence after two yrs of nightmare on duke.
2. Doubt over his own ability, because the world is questioning a lot
3. World asks to prove everything to everyone once again while he has already done that several times before(embarassment)
4. Kids have grown better and they are in their prime time while he is getting older.
Despite all these 4th from the top in time trail, he never believes in one fattest lap time and has managed to finish higher than where he started throughout his carrier in all bikes he rode on(even on duke), so he never really cares to best times and don't expect even in qualifyi

Dunno if you read it carefully, he was driving the 2012 byke.. this afternoon will try the new spec.. I think he doesn't want/need to show how fast he can be, especially from the first day. (Lorenzo knows what he can expect from VR). :0

I am not the biggest Rossi fan, however He is the best EVER. Titles don't lie. Moto GP is also better as a sport when Rossi is competing for wins every race. His role this year is to attack Marquez and stay in front of him as much as possible, allowing Dani and Jorge to battle it out. Something Spies could not do in two years was protect the backside of Jorge. I say that as a huge Spies fan. If Jorge and Rossi are in front of both Hondas, then yes he'll go for the win. There are always team orders, ask Colin Edwards about that. Yamaha wants Jorge to get the titles as he is Spanish, Rossi is there to bring in revenue. That he always does.
