I'll be interested in how the 4 above do in their private race. The fight to be the guy who comes 5th behind them is more interesting - there's (a bit) more competition, and 5th on any bike other than the 4 above is really a Win - the truth is Sats & Dukes ain't in the same race as the Fat Wallet lot up front.

Lastly, the CRT's also offer more numbers and potential competition as well, and any one of those guys making it to be top CRT is also really a winner (even more so if they beat a Satellite bike fair n square).

But... a lot of you bunch won't care about the truth - just so long as your particular hero is up there hoovering up some glory for finishing well on a bike with a huge advantage.

Rossi did his fastest lap before 2pm lap 30 the other three did their fastest laps late on in the afternoon.
Rossi is not showing his cards yet he still has some more in reserve watch the sand bagging king is back.

@ does anyone know if ducati hv released any statement reference to this yr bike? any upcoming upgrade to mk them really competitive?

From what I have read, Ducati already has development parts for the machine. They have not provided them to the teams at this time due to the development path they have created. It appears they plan on taking smaller steps to solve problems.

why do people talk about the ducati like its the same bike from 2007? that bike is a thing of the past. the duke got worse and worse from 2007. i bet even stoner would struggle on todays ducati.

u know what, i want to see Stoners stats after 13 years in motogp class, on 3 different manufacture bikes, i want see him against Biaggi on 500 ccm 2stroke, and i want to see him against marquez when hell be 32 or 33 years old, he will never be as good as rossi is, cause hes not a fighter, hes not that talented, hes beaten by his own teammate, he cannot win 2 in a row. Sow put your stats about Stoner against Rossi in ur a.....

Not a Rossi fan, but i have a question for all of you out there that are saying that this man performance only proves that he can only perform on a good bike, I'll ask you this how long have you watched racing? that's one, and please give me the name of one racer on any form of racing that won a championship with inferior machinery. Not JLo, Stoner, KR Jr., Doohan. In F1 is the samething WSBK. So stop saying that he's going to do well because of this, because it's the same for everyone else. Oh, and by the way most teams are made up of 2 riders or racers, but there's always one who out performs the other. Keep that in mind.

OR... it could mean that Rossi was tired, had peaked and couldn't GO faster in the afternoon, while the young guns could!

My statement could easily be just as right, or just as wrong as the daft one above."

Rossi looks happy for someone who peaked early on and is just too tired to keep up.

Its not as if he has not done this before and not shown his speed in the tests is it?

As we all know Rossi is not known for sand bagging in tests is it?
