O98U you are incorrect. Dovi was let go. His Tech 3 seat was already promised to smith in his Moto 2 contract. Dovi had nowhere else to go but Ducati when Rossi took the Yamaha works bike that Dovi really wanted. Semantics really. Dovi is stuck on that ducati that nobody except Stoner can ride, and smith gets a decent Yamaha that he can barely put in front of Dovi in testing. What a waste of a decent bike and... a decent rider.

A good first day for Brad, in front of 3 dukes, and did nothing silly. His time was better than Bradl managed on the first day last year with similar conditions, and Bradl had had 2 days more on the bike.
We will see slow improvements throughout the tests,and be within half a second to Cal by the first race.

@ sete

For god sake, Bradders has only had a day and a half on the bike! Give him a chance man! And Dovi wanted a factory ride, he didn't want to stay with Tech 3

Well done bradley sure u won't take any notice of the people on here with basicly no clue. No point spannering yourself or the bike. I presume people on here don't know Bradley is not stupid, but I am sure he has a good laugh at the negative comments.

the worst part is we will have to endure a full season of those eurosport commentators prattling on about Bradders. It usually goes something like this..... what a great start from Bradders, he's in 5th.......few laps later.... and Bradders is doing amazing in 9th place.... few laps later.... and smith is holding steady in 14th place, what a great ride!!!! I guess they have to make some attempt to keep the brit fans at bay. Smith will do his 2 years and move on to a crt ride or WSB, just wait and see.

Smith had a MotoGP seat secured in 2011, leaving one seat left for either Crutchlow or Dovi.

Dovi signed with Ducati, followed by Tech 3 locking down Crutchlow.

Again, Dovi chose to leave. He had a Tech 3 seat (Crutchlow's) if he wanted it. Crutchlow resigning with Tech 3 was a process of elimination. Nothing wrong with that since I like Cal, and think he'll do well again this year.

@bradfan 38

"A good first day for Brad, in front of 3 dukes"

LOL.. that's not saying much. Suzuki's last year in motogp with their half@$$ effort was consistently in front of the dukes.

To be fair Bradley is doing very well it would appear! The reason I say this is that if Rossi had stayed with Ducati, according to the knowalls on hear he would have been in front of him! As we all know they said that Dovi,Spies and Ianonne were all going to be better than Rossi on a Ducati. I have to laugh at the armchair experts on here they know JACK S***T. Well done Bradley first day out and you are only just behind a full works Ducati and in front of the others. Take your time and work up the speed Tech 3 know what they are talking about rather than the numb nuts posting on here.
