Bradley Smith has to justify his selection to ride the Tech 3 Yamaha as the majority of Motorbike racing fans are scratching their heads as to the reason for this.
Having watched him since his 125 days, he certainly has some talent but is definitely never been top of the tree, never mind alien level.
Crutchlow before him was a world supersport champion. Ben Spies was a 3 times AMA Superbike champion and a World Superbike Champion. James Toseland was a 2 times World Superbike Champion. Colin Edwards wa sa 2 time world Superbike Champion.
All these ROOKIES before him earned and fully deserved the Tech 3 seat.
Bradley has won no championships and hasn't dazzled the world with his abilities yet he secured the seat long before hand.
He has to deliver excuses, no where to hide

Some of these guys hone their skills to perfection over the years as they ride and learn. Bradley Smith is on pretty much effectively Day#1 at the office, I don't believe half of you have even read the article judging by your responses. The Tech3 team has been highly focussed on MotoGP for some time now at the expense of development on their Moto2 effort. Give the guy a break and let him find his feet 1st and when did you EVER see the word FUN used quite so freely in MotoGP? This guy has a serious passion lurking within as is some welcome new blood in the class.

You can't judge Bradley's potential on the first day of his first dry test certainly.
He will need 5/6 races into the season for us to begin to get an idea as to whether he will be 'it' or not and by mid season we'll be much clearer.
In truth you'll really need to give him the nearly the full season (at least 85% of races) just to be absolutely sure.
I genuinely do not know if he'll make it. He kind of reminds me of Chaz Davies who only came alive once he got on the Yamaha 600.
Is he same Level as Marquez?
That boy like a pint of Guinness, is pure Genius!

Waste of an M1 - Unregistered

Seriously a waste of one of only 4 M1's available.

Such a shame.

The gap between him and Marquez....shows that he isn't at MotoGP level. He is was only just in the mix for Moto2.

He should still be in Moto2 until he can win a race there.

Tech3 is riding on Crutchlow's shoulders this season.

Smith has been kept on a tight rein so far, with the engine power dialled down and only old tyres used. Once Tech 3 start to feed in the power and find optimum settings for him he'll get much quicker.

So far today he's only .7 behind Cal, which is not bad.

Any of you retards want to comment that as of now he has leapt over the Ducati'a and is within 0.5 of a sec of Crutchlow? Go watch another sport, you obviously know nothing about this one, except how to embarrass yourselves on with a lack of knowledge!

love the fact people slate smith saying he has no talent and doesnt deserve it blah blah blah

he will show a few of these so called knowledgable fans up! people forget he's been on a uncompetitive moto 2 bike for 2 years, last year they were even further behind due to lack of development

i know its only a test but today he has already made giants strides, ok he may not be in marquez league as quite frankly that kid is gonna be one of the best ever, but smith will quietly go about his business and he isnt as far away from crutchlow as people thought he would be, he will do well this year mark my words
