“I like Marquez's attitude a lot because in his mind, looking at him today, it looks like he wants to win the championship at the first try” - Valentino Rossi.

Rossi smoked Hayden when he was his team mate, even in 2006 when Hayden won the title, Rossi was the faster guy. (Not saying he didn't deserve it, he did, but he was clearly not as fast as Rossi)

there isn't much doubt in my mind that to get VR back onto a winning bike, some deals were made or wheels repacked with grease....VR (like it or not) is what a LOT of the crowd come to see...and i'm sure the crowds will now increase dramatically....Marq M.. is certainly on a mission, but if you believe he won't ruffle some feathers with his tactics..think again...he's good though and will be winning....Vale won't mind...he is a racer and likes the chase, he doesn't need the money..........he wants some fun...

Looks like some people forget what happened during last year Moto2 Championship... MM is brilliant but he also reckless to a degree less than Marco. I wish VR do a Gibernau to him! This would allow us to see an epic battle: DP vs JLo and VR vs MM.... if this not happen, then 2008 Laguna Seca would remain the best ever MotoGP week.........

"Hayden was as quick if not quicker than Rossi, so its a good bet to say that Hayden may very well be up at the top of the timing charts if he was on a Yamaha. Posted by Hemmy".
Interesting point, but I'm not so sure. Hayden's style owes a lot to US dirt tracks and is very similar to Ben's Pies - and we have just seen what happened with Ben on a Yamaha..

The last couple of days have proved without doubt that Marquez is capable of riding his RC213V within tenths of the best riders in the world.
We also know that he can be a bit too bold on occasions.
Assuming he makes it beyond the usual first corner hiatus, if the leaders are separated from each other he will be able to hold his place in the high speed procession. However, if he and another rider get close enough to dispute a place there could be a clash between experience and gung-ho, and the outcome will be uncertain with a likelyhood of tears before bedtime.
