thats the whole point though, at this level were 1 second is the difference between "alien" and "what a loser", the bikes need to be relatively easy to ride (by GP standard).

It shouldnt take a special, dedicated rider to be the difference between the bike working or not.

Rossi and stoner have proved that.

To those wanting stoner back on the duc, it would only place ducati back into "ground hog day" mode and they are already 2 seconds behind. How do they make this up? Make the bike better rather than find a better rider?

Mabey they should enter the Panagali in the crt class. Proberbly be faster than the Motogp bike.

Let me be frank here. Ducati has won 21 races from 164 attempts since 2008. That's all with world champion riders on board.(excluding Sete)

So far, just to be honest, nothing big change what Rossi done on Ducati...if there is big change, so we can see it right know.
Just new chasis, that AFAIK not more better than carbon frame.
I hope Ducati stay what ever they are, not try become another copycat bike from Japan bike...only Ducati that's make MotoGP different, otherwise we can see already.

Agree completely. What the hell are they doing over there? It blows me away that Ducati can't build a bike that can steer! WTF!? Sadly, if these riders try to push they're going to crash and get hurt

I am very disappointed with the situation. They did nothing over the winter. All of the engineers had all of the information gathered over the past two days. That is lame saying they need a baseline. As a manager this is what I would have done last October.
1. Redesign the engine. It must have a narrow v, more low end torque and lighter.
2. Hire the best chassis engineers and develope and build two designs for testing.
3. Have the test team (with their fast guy) test all the different geometry, swing arms, engine maps, and tires.
4. Show up at the first test with a new bike for Nicky and company to fine tune.
This would have been much better than what I see today.

MotoGP riders are praised or damned too often, I think. Their pace compared to their teammates is valid, but to say that Casey could today win on the Ducati or that Rossi ruined the Ducati is nonsense. Casey is an awesome rider who managed to get the most out of the bike a few years back, but he would not have won last year, just as Rossi, Hayden and others could not either. And Ducati won't win this year. And bringing in another rider won't help. If Casey could be cloned it still would not matter. The bike is a dog, pure and simple. The team will improve only with solid organization and investment from Audi, which is beginning only now. Perhaps in a year's time they might contend for a win, or sooner if it rains, but this year is going to be rough.
