This should give the CRTs a bump in times. This will definitely give MotoGP a bump in NASCAR direction. Honda will gain a huge technical advantage. The information gathered for the 2014 CRT's can and will most likely be used to help develop their main bike. Dorna, what are you doing to this wonderful sport? To many rule changes is going to break the sport. From flip flopping on the bike cc displacement, to single tire manufacturers, to CRTs. All these changes can't be good for the sport.

Quite frankly, the notion of "production bikes" competing in MotoGP seems a contradiction on its own, Motogp has always been known to exist for the development of prototypes being the R&D necessary for the ultimate benefit of producing better road going bikes the likes of which race at WSBK? or am I missing something? Perhaps Honda should be concentrating on using all their new excellent MotoGP technology to build a new bike that can be competitive at WSKB level.

So if Dorna claims the grid is full as in Suzuki story, these bikes must be replacing existing machines and not be part of any new teams being formed which seams like a real shame.
but then again they could probably change their rules for Honda!

@redlinepix Why do they need to change the rules? If you now buy a chassis from X, the engine from Aprilia, wheels from Marchesini, brakes from Brembo, suspension from Ohlins, etc, etc and pay a ****load of money while you still have to build it all and make it work (gamble).... Or you can buy a ready racer from Honda, where Honda already put the time in to make it work and negotiate all the deals with suppliers and gives you maintenance support while you still spent the same amount of money....
If it is fast enough, my money would go to Honda and I'd have a ready bike on the grid where my rider and me can focus on racing and not on acquiring, building and testing.
