@ Cammyspop, re: Secondly Yamaha and Honda will have a couple of years race development behind them under the current rules*, which amounts to a two year start. Suzuki will be playing catch up for at least a season, and I'm sure Suzuki would openly admit that.

yeah but it will still be better then Duc, ne?

Dirt bike background? - Unregistered

As for who said they need a dirtbike background

Hayden rides dirtbikes and flattrack....to not much avail (talented rider but **** bike)

Capparossi nearly won in 06 if seb and smashed into his brakes, he let the bike go wild and has no dirt bike background (to my knowledge)

Stoner, capparossi and Bayliss the only blokes to win on any form of duc all used to look lose and outta control....yet they where fast (HUGE NUTS)

they just pinned it and held on (or fell off)
seems to be the only way to ride it

Ducati = Pin it (when it starts to squirm under you just hold on and open her up more), dive in late on the brakes, hope the front grips and pin it again (if you rely on front end feel or feed back forget about it or your coming 6th or worse)
