Here come the conspiracy theorists. Bridgestone had 3 spec of hard tyre at Sepang and as always the one which most of the riders think is the best will be adopted.

Dani had his best season last year on tyres that HRC bitched about. Ducati are **** because they haven't developed a good bike in 5 years.

All you simpletons blaming Bridhestone when your fave rider or team don't win need your heads read. How about complementing them on making a tyre that now not oby warms up quick bit is still setting lap records?

yeh yeh !! just like the tires for the crt this year !!
they must come closer to the prototypes .. but till now they are not .. only espargaro ..
but the laptimes in my eyes are not closer than last year ..

Last year in the first half of the season the Yamaha definitely had the edge but by the second half of the season Honda got the tyre issues sorted and inched it over the Yamaha. This season the Honda still has it so it is just as well that Stoner is not around or it would have been a one horse race. As it is with the 5 top riders being so close it should make for good exciting racing this year.

Really while the Rossi brand VR46 has attempted to overshadow all else, the real star of testing was DP, JL did a very confident job as well and MM is clearly ready to assert himself.

Finally Cal, on an inferior bike makes it plain that maybe he should have been the one gifted with a podium bike?

Dani used to be so sour - looked like he really hated what he was doing until relatively recently. As he's matured though I've warmed to him a lot - think maybe he's got a better grip on his own destiny now, maybe managed to put sourpuss Puig back in his box?

I don't think his speed and talent should ever have been in question - if he hadn't been as fragile when crashing I think he might have 1 or 2 motoGP WC's by now - his win/podium/consistency record is super-impressive.

JL is SO fast & consistent lap-after-lap that he'll be tough to beat over race distance - but I really think a season-long healthy Dani can win the WC in 2013.

Stay fit and finish every race in position 1 or 2 and you'll get the grand prize this year, Dani. Man, to think of all the money Honda has put into this racer and he has not won the championship even one time.
